A not so good -8 (round 1) and a decent -12 (round 2) for me so far. With all the top guys at the WGC event was hoping I could win, or get close to winning, this week but don't think those two rounds will give me much chance of that now.

ROUND 1 - 65 (-7) ROUND 2 - 63 (-9)
Played my worst 2 rounds since joining the Euro Tour, must have left a minimum of 10 shots out there but hopefully I'll make the cut (should be very tight) best of luck to everyone else especially my travelling buddy @brownief104 who's started extremely well.

-10 and -11 the first two rounds. Some of us lesser skilled players might have a shot at winning this week, with all the big names playing in the WGC.

I was hoping to be among the lesser skilled who had a shot. I was second on the PS4 leaderboard heading into round 4 but shot a -8 in the final round to finish at -45. Overall that's still very good for me over the course of 4 rounds. I'm betting on some pretty low scores because there's so many good players, even when the best of the best are playing elsewhere. I shudder to think what the big 3 would have shot on this course.

My halloween story: It was after supper on halloween and I had the itch to play my first Euro round of the week. I wanted to watch the Duke football game which came on at seven so I had a brief window to 'get it done' I was optimistic that I could contend this week as I thought the course was there for the taking. The neighborhood was filled with ghosts and goblins looking for their 'bounties'. I knew there would be interuptions. My alter egos, Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde appeared on my shoulders. Dr Hyde, the voice of reason, " do not play now, play later!" Mr Hyde interuppted and said" Play now, you can bring this course to its knees in your sleep!".
Of course, I listened to Mr Hyde and rushed to the first tee. To shorten the story, pars and bogeys and even a double bogey were waiting on me, instead of the anticipated birdies. After 9 holes, I was +1. YES +1, when in the practice round I was -7 after 9. The back side was a little better as I finished at -2. One of the worst rounds I had ever played in the tgctours. No way that I could recover and make the cut. I was seething mad at myself and very disappointed.
Five minutes later, my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter Ivy, arrives dressed as Elsa from Frozen and gives me a big hug. She and I have seen this Disney animated musical probably at least 30 times and we sing all the songs together. ( she is too young or just doesn't care that I can't carry a tune in a bucket.) All my anger and frustration was gone instantly! You really don't need Dr Rotella, all you need is a child to give you a hug and tell you that she loves you.
It puts things in PERSPECTIVE. This is after all, just a video game.
After Ivy had left to enjoy the rest of the evening and all the ghosts and goblins had left my neighborhood, I decided to play round 2. With a better attitude, I went on the assault and brought the course to its knees with a 58. 12 strokes different from round 1. I still may not make the cut, but at least I see things clearer now. If I could only get rid of My Hyde!
Thanks for reading and good luck all!!
ACC football refs suck!!

There is only about 80 players in the field this week so virtually everyone that plays their 2 rounds will make the cut.

Hey guys, I'm the designer for this week's course. I'm excited to see the scores and how the course plays!
A little background on the design. It was my 2nd published course and was originally in the Alpine theme under Vivian Valley County Club.. That version had a lot of rough areas and but presented a fair challenge. For this tournament I remastered the course in the Swiss theme and for the most part really polished it off. It's not perfect by any means but I think it's a fun test but at the same time is fairly short.
I hope you guys enjoy the course and put out some great rounds!
Thanks, superace33

Hi Jordan.
Aside from a couple of par 3's where I felt the greens were a little small for the length of the hole I've enjoyed the rounds I've played on the course so far. Being so short it does give plenty of chance for birdies and eagles (my -20 for the first 2 rounds will be well off the lead) but if you put your ball in the wrong place it is easy to make a bogey or two as well.

Yes some of the greens are quite small! My thoughts were to reward very good shots.. But I do agree.

I think I was bogey free for the whole tournament for the first time. I had to make a lot of 6-7 footers to manage that but I found that those were makable on this course. I had very few totally flat putts and very few big breakers. I enjoyed it. On the one hand, I've gotten used to multiple pin placements and the variety is nice, but there's always a couple holes a round where the pin placement is borderline or worse. Greens on so many courses weren't designed with four good spots. This week we had the same pins throughout but all of them were more than fair.
