There never were any cuts on the CC tiers since they started.

I can't remember if there were cuts on the old Champions Tour, think there was.
However
I'm going to vote no. There are people struggling in the lower tiers to have them miss the cut would be just another kick the the you know whats for them and will make them even more demoralized, lose interest, move to another game and a loss to this site. No matter how good or bad they are they make the community what it is.

I voted no. It's great the way it is. Challenge circuit should be about improving and playing as many rounds as you can until you get to the tougher pro tours.
There is also a cut of sorts anyway as if you finish below 70th you get a demotion strike. 3 of them and then you are relegated if you fail to wipe them out with a top 30.

I actually think because of the demotion strikes CC is actually harder to stay in the higher tiers than the pros. Once you get your pro card the only way you can pretty much honestly lose it is through your own devices. In CC other players dictate whether or not you get a strike ultimately. Tougher row to hoe in my opinion.

I voted yes, it just doesn't seem right having tournaments with no cut. I understand the arguments that some people struggle but in my opinion if you struggle you just have to put in the hours to get better and that is the way it is. There are plenty of guys who seemed to struggle at this game when i joined here but they are now on Web through hard graft and are shooting really impressive scores now every week. Also those strugglers still find it hard to keep up with the top players in their flight cut or not.

These are good points and I suppose if it came to people leaving the game and community over a cut system being in place then I wouldn't be in favour of it. The thing is though that this game has a steep enough learning curve compared to other games and even with this we have people from all skill levels competing here and having fun. The games learning curve hasn't driven them away so I wouldn't think a cut system would either in fact making a cut can feel like a small victory and something to build on.

There are 637 CC-E members, and only 124 played all four rounds last week. So I think the bolded above is quite contradicted by having 80-81% of a tour not play. They are likely gone. Many didn't give it a chance (by that I mean more than 2 or 3 weeks) and moved on. A cut line would only make this problem a bit worse. Just my opinion. Edit: Made the numbers exact

Overall I think no... If at all, perhaps in the A group of CC, for the most competitive group of folks in CC. In the lower levels many of us are very inconsistent, so the 3rd and 4th round can often change the look of the top 10... The entire leaderboard for that matter. I've gone from #1 to near bottom and from the bottom to top 5 before. Granted, this was in lowly Z... But still.

Edit: Made the numbers exact What I meant by the bolded comment was that the overall difficulty of the game hasn't put people off, they have bought The Golf Club have played it and enjoyed it and through what ever means have found out about tgctours and registered here and gone through the q school and have been playing here and enjoying the tournaments. It was just my opinion that a cut wouldn't make them want to leave if they stuck around so far. I wasn't aware of the amount of members registered in E, what is a normal full field for a tournament in E each week? 120-150 is probably an ideal field size, still it is a huge amount that have left for whatever reason as you said, maybe they looked at the winning scores in E matching the scoring in A and B almost every week for the past few weeks and thought they can't compete. Maybe life just got in the way and they don't have time anymore.

I voted no. There's already enough people that sign up and play a week or two before disappearing because the competition is so immense. Putting in a cut line in the CC would just worsen that.

For a voting perspective, I did not vote as I am not a CC member anymore.
I am just adding my .02 to this discussion as I was a CC member at the onset of CC tiers and I do understand the CC mindset (if only as a high end CC player).

I think bringing cuts in for CC-A and maybe even CC-B would be a good idea as these guys are regular players who are striving for Web cards. It would be giving them a taster of how things were in these higher tours before they moved there.
I would'nt mind cuts in CC-C and CC-D but it may be off putting for newer or struggling players if they were missing cuts week after week so probably best to keep them for the higher flights.
