I thought all demotion strikes were cleared now that were starting a new season? Yet I still see them on the roster, matter of fact I have two already and I never even played in the Challenge CC-B !

DQ strikes were cleared - demotion strikes carried over - Bit confusing but they are two completely different sets of strikes.
Week 1 Demotion strikes still turned on DQ strikes turned off

can you explain the difference between the 2 TY 3 demotion strikes brings you down a flight. You get demotion strikes for not making top 70. 2 dq strikes get you some sort of suspension from play. You get dq strikes for things like registering for a tournament and then not submitting your scores.

Expanding on this just a bit Demotion Strikes You get a demotion strike if...- finish outside top 70 - register and not finish - DQ/WD of any type You clear your demotion strikes if...- finish top-30 - 3 demotion strikes and you move down a flight (strikes clear) DQ strikes
- register and not submit scores - 1 DQ strike and you get warning on main page - 2 DQ strikes in a row and you are suspended for 1 week - finish an event that you registered in to clear the DQ strike warning

Just seems strange that an 'outside top 70' strike would carry over to a fresh brand new season.

It is odd that strikes would carry over seeing as everything else would be reset with the start of a new season. Also it seems I was demoted even though I had only one strike from last season AND the strike is still listed next to my name.

Week 1 Demotion strikes still turned on DQ strikes turned off I wanted to also follow-up on Doyley's comment as it does not make sense. If a player is demoted why would the demotion strikes not be cleared. If I am reading him correctly if a player earns 3 demotion strikes they are dropped a level but if they don't reset it would only take one to be demoted again and again. I think a handful of people are in this boat and that is the OP and my question. We were demoted but still have strikes against us.

If you get demoted your strikes should clear.

Bruce was an inactive player so his card dropped at the end of the season - that's why he still has strikes. The strikes only clear if you get to three and demote.

Had 1 'outside top 70' last season, and going into this season with 1 strike already. Thankfully the CC championship was not counted towards this, threw up all over my shoes on that one... Understand it might be difficult to split up, but I think 'performance based' strikes should be completely separate from quitting/not finishing a tournament.

After week 1 of new season three things have happened to me that I don't understand. 1, I have been demoted to CC-D despite the fact that demotion strikes were discounted at the end of season 1. I am not bothered about this, as this is where I probably belong. 2. After week 1 at the top of the Home Page I have the message
Warning! You currently have a DQ count of 1. If you get another you will be suspended for 1 week.
To my knowledge I have never been disqualified at any time. 3. I understood tha t week 1, positions outside the top 70 would not earn a demotion strike, but I, and lots of others seem to have one for week 2.
Can someone have a look at this for me.

Yes I have a strike from week 1 when everyone was registered, but I couldn't play. It doesn't worry me that much but I didn't think there was strikes for the first week. Cheers Stu

My DQ message has now gone and so has my demotion strike. I assume it was a glitch which has been sorted. Thankyou to whoever fixed it!
