I played my first round on this last evening. I really struggled on this course. For whatever reason my attempted landing strategy off the tee box was wrong way too much. I'm going to have to play this a few more times to get a feel for the holes and sight lines. Greens didn't feel as tough as Ballyntine, but I can't be sure since I was rarely within 10 feet of the pin. I like the challenge though. Different than week 1 for sure. Good job picking these courses so far! I like the sound of this; yaters struggling!!!!!!

I love this course. Just finished my first proper practice tournament, finishing with a -34. Wind speeds were pushing 15/17mph on a couple of rounds too, hopefully they're a bit more calm on the official tourney. You really have to think about your approaches.

That last part really hits home on this course. I only got about 6 holes in last night before the fiancé started pestering me. There was one Par 5 I remember quite well. Just mashed driver without thinking, and was left directly behind a tree for my second shot. Reaching the green in 2 would have been a stretch at best anyway, so I could easily have laid up a little on the drive to avoid having to bend a 5w around a tree for shot 2. It's going to be an interesting tournament.

It's going to be an interesting tournament. There's a hole, I forget the number, where you can be tempted to hit right to the edge of the fairway with a 3/4 iron. You can only hit a shorter tee shot due to the length of the fairway, par 4, to get to the edge you need to hit over a short tree. Misjudge that and you're right behind a tree and a load of leaves and foliage and it leaves you smack bang in trouble.

I'm hoping to finish my round tonight and maybe get a 2nd one in too. I'll keep an eye out for this

Glitch on green side of 17th hole. Just barely missed the green and could never get out.
Nice. Great way to start to tournament. There's a MC.
