I started decent into Rd1. I was at -10 on the 18th tee box, just before this happened: So a fantastic 59 (-13) for me in Rd1. I just hope I can grind on similar to that opening round... That wind, that elevation, that distance... everything had to be perfect for that albatross. Well done!

-8 in round 1 followed by -6 in round 2 (which I am very happy with in those 20+mph winds). As with last season all I aim to do is make the cut as can't compete with the scores those top players shoot and hopefully -14 is enough to do that.
I agree with McBogga about the course not ageing very well. Now with have themes like Highlands I the Links courses look even worse in comparison.

I actually think this one looks pretty good for a Links Theme. Although i don't massively enjoy playing it if i'm honest. -12 in Round 1. Thought it was pretty good but seems it's just average

Dont mind the course lay out. It looks fine. Just at this level the greens needed a few more slopes. Same for everyone though.

Yeah it's a good course, looks nice, but the greens are pretty flat.

Yeah it's a good course, looks nice, but the greens are pretty flat. Maybe they could've pulled out Biggins' Royal Balwearie instead for the start of season two??

By no means was I having a go at the course selection by the way. It's a good course. Just that the difficulty is in the elevation changes and wind rather than the greens.

I love this golf course. Perfect opener to the new season. Was it the same as last year?

Rd2: 61 (-11); sitting at -24 total now
This was a pretty interesting round considering those high winds! Together with those huge elevations there is quiet some potential for mistakes I'd say, but luckily I was able to (almost) avoid them. Pretty happy with my start into the new season so far.
I need to force myself I'm not getting too greedy & aggresive now and stay out of trouble for my final rounds...

Anyone that plays those huge elevation changes with huge winds WITHOUT a ghost and still shoots low has my upmost respect here. It's almost almost required to play with a ghost here to stay competitive, don't know how you trailblazers do it.

I can't use a ghost, when they go flying ahead I find myself trying too hard to chase them down attempting to make up shots, that's where my mistakes are made, I'd rather just play my round and take what I'm given :-) i don't expect to ever be challenging the top of the Euro leaderboards but hopefully I can remain competitive, -34 this week and I'm very happy with that.

Round 1 first green birdie putt dead center of the cup comes up a millimeter short. 2nd hole bogey. 3rd hole bogey. Happy to end up at -9 for the first round after that depressing start.
