Nic, that is funny! We have a new teacher named Ayako. Maybe she will apply for the staff job of grammar police.
A quick question. If the wind varies from hole to hole, does that bring back the wind waiters or is it once you go to a hole and its 7mph, does it stay 7 or change if you wait? I hope it stays at 7.
I have yet to complete my 4th round, but rounds 2 and 3 beat me to a pulp. Had a triple bogey and 2 double bogeys in those rounds as I shot +1 for the two rounds. By the way, you have to try really hard to get a triple bogey in this game, but I DID IT.

you have to try really hard to get a triple bogey in this game, but I DID IT. Not strictly true! I find they come very easily. My next best trick is the run of bogey-bogey-bogey-bogey-bogey. I'm getting good at that one!!

Tried to take advantage of a day off and played all four rounds. Shot: 63-59-65-65 = -36 Had some distractions round three and the pins in the final are tough (as they should be). Felt I should've hit the -40 mark, but it wouldn't be golf without some frustration. I feel bad for all those who played early, before the update. Definitely not fair and I don't blame you for any anger. Good luck to all still on the course!

(smytty66) Steven, what were the winds that you played in after the update? Don't feel bad as you did not do anything wrong. Could have just as easily went the other way.
Great rounds and a score that may be hard to beat, definately top 10-15.

The range was 3-12 mph, with the average probably about 8 mph. Very manageable. Thanks for the kind words. Take care.

Oh, and I noticed Rob Andrew got to -40 on the PS4, so that's the target for now, I guess. Great shooting on his part!

Wow - I was gone most of the weekend and sounds like the wind issue is huge this week. I'm on XB1 so we are the only console without the update. I'm a bit torn on what to do; just play it out knowing that I'm playing in winds upwards of 15-17mph higher than others, or see if the XB1 patch hits before all the rounds are due. My competitive side says wait but at the same time, would feel bad playing this way knowing that others like Ryan played theirs out in bad winds and are stuck with their scores in unfair conditions.

Different winds for different platforms sucks. At the end of the day you do whatever makes you sleep at night. Personally, I was happy with my rounds of 64 and 66, the latter in 17-19 winds. A few weeks ago I would have folded in that type of wind. The update for PS4 hit between rounds 2 and 3 for me - as id already hit my drive on round 3 I had winds of 19+, not the fluctuating lower winds that everyone else mentioned. As long as we're all the same I couldn't care what the conditions are! I think we have to let it slide this week... Good luck

WEEK #36 Total Prize money paid out. $$ 1,039,951 WEEK #37 Total Prize money paid out. $$ 1,127,512 Almost 100,000 more in week 37 would explain the higher payouts for the lower half of the field but why ?? Still crunchin the numbers looking for a reason. ( things I do when bored ) sheeesh............ Pretty sure the payouts are set for cuts at 70 so once we go beyond that you can have extra funds added. Why they are different between the two events is something I'm trying to figure out as well.

Would it be possible for some players to be kicked after the first tournament for being inactive therefore raising the prize money for the second one?

The amount of nice things I have to say about hole #5 is in the negative digits. Never got better than bogey on it and capped it off with a snowman in the final round.
The course was a great challenge, especially in those winds, and it got the best of me. It's a good thing I didn't stream too because I would have had to furiously apologize for the amount of sailor talk I was yelling at the ball.
