I just finished all my rounds. Had a good first round a substandard second round. I can't believe in these two rounds how many par threes I put it within a foot so I was striking the ball well.
Round three was my undoing with once again hole #3, the pin position 4 putts from 6 feet. Not sure why this hole is so insane but there are like 40 breaks all around it. Not a great place. That being said still fought back and tried. I think the one thing about this course I have to say is i have never had so many putts, on any course, hit the back of the hole and not go in. I don't think i was hitting them hard. Sometimes it was down hill putts sometimes up hill but through all four rounds at least 10 shots didn't drop but just skipped over the back of the hole. Shot a pitiful +3 on that round. At this point you get to just want to get it over with.
Round four made a great eagle on #2 and got it up to -6 after 8 and I was feeling good. Then squirt a couple of weird bounces, a couple of water balls that still confuse the heck out of me and ended with a -5.
Over all -14. I'll make the cut i'm sure, but once again just a bleah finish. I'm not a wind hater. I love 12-14 mph winds and have been playing this course in those winds and doing fine. 18mph winds on round three sheeesh. That hole #3 just took all the fun out of it and I should have taken a break.
Ah well.. Good luck all.. have fun. It is a tough course.

Its funny, i played one practice round a couple of days ago in light winds and thought this course might get destroyed! Then i encounted some stronger winds in the tourney and wow how wrong was i. Some tight fairways with well placed bunkers in strong winds = some nervy tee shots, thought there was some very well designed par 5's and some nasty pin placements with false fronts giving me alot of ball ache during the 4 rounds. There was a nasty long par 4 into the wind but Nothing was unfair or tricked up just a well thought out design ,kudos to you tyler, really enjoyed myself out there.

Sometimes i don't mind those long par 4s into the wind. I had a couple where I was shooting into a 13mph wind , 229 out. A 3 wood nuzzled up nicely to about 2 feet. It was a full head wind so no aiming, no adjustment, just swing the stick and take the bird! Still third tourney in a row to make an eagle from the fairway on a par 4. I'm feeling like Jules!

Not sure I'm in, but played all 4 last night. I'll be honest and say this, -20 may win this one. The first round seems to be where you can get a score, I put up -7. Round 2 can be had, but I was only able to muster -1. Round 3-4, I think are going to keep the scores in check. I was not up to snuff at all in round 3 with +1, and the 4th round similar minus a disasterous 8 on the short par 3 on the back, I think #11. Finished +7 for the round and E overall...if I do get in, my "run" is done in these playoffs. Looking forward to the start of the new season and playing a full PGA schedule!

I have you "in" unofficially at 98/100. Also, there is a regular event next week, so one more for the season, eh? There is a week break before the 3rd playoff event, so we have an event there with no FedEx Pts. The money on the PGA doesn't mean much, but its good for practice, competition, and WGR.

I designed the course before the wind fix and high wind average so I was a little nervous about how it would hold up in high winds, but after playing it, I was really happy with how it played the whole tourney. I think every single hole was reachable no matter the winds which is nice. None of the pins were too crazy either in my opinion. I think #3 and #6 one day turned out a little more slopey than I anticipated but I didn't have a problem with either, so hopefully they turn out fine. My only bogeys of the week were #2 on Thursday AND Friday. lol but I would've taken 2 bogeys for the week if you asked me before I started. Good luck to all!

Yeah i had a comical bogey on the tricky par 3 on the back nine (the one if ur short right u will be in the drink!), i bailed out long and left and was left with a tricky downhiller which i overshot and the ball rolled into the water LOL, but lucky for me the drop glitch put me 2ft away to putt out my bogey.

I've never had this drop glitch, and I did the same except it dropped me in the deep rough on the other side of the lake. Plopped it in again and took a 7. Besides that hole I've been playing fine. WHY CAN'T I GET SOME DROP GLITCH?

Had a really good 63 in round 1, and a really stupid 73 in round 2. I lost my concentration on the greens on the back 9 in round 2, causing me to 3 putt two holes after running the first putt 20 feet by like an idiot. I could have easily been 4 or 5 under in round 2......

Well, sitting in 90th place in the points standings, needless to say that I have to have a very good week to advance. I am 218.3 points behind #70 in the standings. That is a solo 16th place finish. The problem then is that all players that make the cut will gain points, so I will need more than that, for sure. I have identified the gap between 63rd and 64th (566.3 to 495.8) as the point I want to get above. So that would be 566.3 - my 234.5 = 331.8 points needed. A solo 8th place is 340 points, so a 3 way t-7 or a 5 way t-6 is my more realistic goal.
The scary thing? Through three rounds and a tee shot on #1 in the 4th round I think I am in a position to do it, but a lot of people yet to play. I have a score goal in mind, but that is just speculation.
Since round one scores are posted I will offer up that I shot -11 with 11 birdies and 7 pars. Nothing spectacular. Just played solid tee to green and made putts I should. Missed a couple I might have ought to make, but don't we all?
I will reserve my Rd 2 and Rd 3 scores for the moment. I shot just decent, but not certainly not bad in round two. The obvious highlight was an Ace of #16 in Round 2. Round 3 I played very solid in those higher winds. The par 4 5th is completely unreachable in two, and I left myself dicey, but made a nice par save there that I think makes up 1/3 of a stroke or maybe a little more on the field.

Aww come on Bob, tell us where you're at! This is the spoilers thread! Haha Well, I guess since a PC player playing their rounds would be able to see, fine. Rd 1: 61 (-11) Rd 2: 66 (- 6) Rd 3: 65 (- 7) -24 through three. That third round was very solid. Had a few (3 or 4) very nice approaches that crept up to within 8 feet or less. I played for par on a lot of holes, and to be honest, I thought I had at least one or two putts that I should have made from 15-30 feet, but again, we all think that. I will almost always putt from the fringe and not chip. I think I am in the vast minority up here on the PGA/Euro level that do that. I warmed up for round three by playing the front 9 at the Euro event (which I intend to complete) because they are all praising it and it has similar winds to our rd 3 event, so I just wanted to dial in a "feel" for the wind. I shot 5 straight birdies to start out there, then a par, a bogey, then two more birdies. I felt I was playing well, so I played Round three and I feel good with that round. Should definitely gain on the field as I may lose a bit in round two.

Sitting at 68th on the unofficial fedex standings i really choked with a 70-70 for a -4. Just couldn't get anything going.

I often use your ghost ever since I started occasionally watching your streams starting at the Cairn Orchard tournament Rd 1 in the 20 mph winds. We are similar WGR as well, so I consider you a peer if you don't mind. I had several that are in Web that will likely be up here @ the PGA tour for next season, but for now I am just picking what I know. Crossing my fingers for ya, bud.
