When I came to this site and finished my Q-School I decided to strive for the European Tour Card (because I am from Europe).
Now with the season about to end soon I'm thinking about prefering to own a PGA-Card for next season (for whatever reason; that's irrelevant).
So my question is if there's any way to get to that other tour for Season 2016, and if so, what would I have to do?
I know I can select a prefered Tour Card in my profile, but I guess that was just for when starting on this site/tour, right?

Finish in the top 125 (roughly) of the pga tour money list for 2015, will get you a 2016 pga tour card.

We will have a period during W39 where PGA / Euro tour members that didn't compete in the Web.com Tour Finals will be able to request a switch to the other tour (via email to commish@tgctours.com). I would hope that the balance of talent on both tours will remain equal - if we find that it's a mass exodus one way or the other we'll have to put full stop rather quickly.

I'll add on to the suggestion: At the end of the season, the people that retain their tour cards is determined either by standing, or web.com finals, etc. So you have a 'list' of your Pro Tour golfers. Starting at #1 (WGR sorted), you go down that list asking/inviting players which tour they would like to join. Once either PGA or Euro is 'full', the people further down the list don't have a choice, they go to the other tour.
Now, this requires some tweaking, as someone that is in the top X of money from season 1 on either tour should have the opportunity to keep their respective tour card if they so choose. Basically someone that met the criteria of Season 1 can't get booted from the tour they played on. But we have definitely lost some people, and there will be a lot of people on pga/euro that don't meet the criteria to retain their cards.
So an amount of reshuffling is going to happen regardless.
Having a plan for it would be prudent.
