That was utterly brutal. Didn't help that I wasn't playing remotely well but even still that was super tough going.

I could beat my first round score in real life as well, it didn't go to well in those 20mph winds! I did recover a bit in rounds 2-4 though so might even get a top 10 finish this week (And yes, it still counts when there are only 20 players in the tournament).

79-70-69-72=290 (+2). That was difficult. A crying child needed to be put in his swing upstairs so I could concentrate. Well, on the bright side, it may be the only time an over par score will earn me a top 20.

You might not be far away from winning with a +2 total.

I hope you guys like the course. There were some neat things I tried on that course with bridges and I think we had just got the retaining walls when I designed Harvest Plantation Very poor finishing hole especially in tournament play ie. Driver/ lay up to middle fairway / Wedge. Need a par 5 with risk/reward ( 50 to 70 yards to long ) Actually I have made that green in two with a good tail wind and the perfect drive. So if conditions are right you can take the risk but they have to be perfect

Muchos respect to the finishers of this tourney! The toughest golfing challenge I've yet faced in TGCT... by a margin. V. happy with +1 overall, pr0ps to the two under par boys. I know all the big hitters were away, but feel even some of those would have struggled here this week - took *a lot* of concentration to keep the bogeys at bay.
Felt a little unfair at times - a tough course with tough putting multiplied by 20 mph winds - but the masochist in me enjoyed grinding it out. Hoping for something a little more receptive next week tho!

Having practiced the course in low winds the 20mph took me by surprise in round one and I didn't handle it all all (I ended up shooting +10). Got a better handle on it after that and was only a further +3 for the final 3 rounds. I agree that it was the toughest tourney I've played in on TGCTours so far though.

This is the constant delima for the tours and course setup. We want tough courses but when we play them there are complaints about to tough. To be honest the course really turned out tougher than I thought it would but overall I was very happy with it. My best round is 3 under. I had just finished falcon bay for the us open when I did harvest plantation and I was still a little in the us open design mindset. I would love to see a full field tackle the course and see what the scores might be. I am not the best player but I favor playing the harder courses to test myself and I like playing the wind too. Maybe I enjoy torture...... hmmmmmm

Played in a decent wind the course is generally tough but fair. Those 20mph winds in combination with the slick greens and some narrow fairways was a hell of a combination to contend with though.
