Holy cow Ian Sweeney. You didn't need to pull off a Tiger Woods 2000 U.S. Open 15 shot victory lap here. To average a 61.5 over four days is incredible. Well played! thats insane!

I had only planned to play round 1, but after I got hot and shot that 58, I decided to play the next two rounds. I just never got it going in round 2 for some reason. I wasn't quite getting it as close and I was missing some easier putts. I put one in the water on the par 5 on the front due to a hooked 3 wood and then made two terrible chips on the back 9 to cause me to make a couple bogeys. The worst was 18 where I was really trying to make a chip to shoot -7 but lipped out and then missed the 4 ft comeback for par on that boarder line pin location. Shot -5 to put me at -19. In round 3 I got my mojo back a bit and put together a pretty solid round on a fairly tough setup. I fired a 63 to put myself at -28 going into round 4 and I planned on waiting until later in the week to play round 4 since I thought I'd have a chance for the win. Unfortunately yesterday, I got on to check some scores and saw a SILLY total by a player and figured there was no need to wait. I started off on a roll getting to -6 through 8 but then I stalled. Made a bad bogey at some point and then missed EVERY putt on the back 9. Got it to -8 with a birdie on 18 but I really felt like 60 or better could've been no problem for me if I hadn't lipped out so much. Finished at -36 which I still thought would have a chance at the start of the week but it won't be close to enough. I stil think it could be a high finish since I've beaten some really good players I've seen so far, but it's hard to tell since one guy still demolished me. Who knows who else could do that. Good luck to all and this was a sensational course that was fun to play. I think -36 may be good enough... rounds 2 and 3 are tough. I thought it would have a chance but somebody had to go and beat me by 10 shots ala Tiger Woods in his prime!

This guy is totally on fire lately! Insane score! I didn't start so far, but from what I've read here, I'd take anything between -25 to -30. Practice rounds haven't gone so low thus far... PS: Was the player field already officially stated somewhere and I missed it?

Enjoyed my rounds here, but round 2 got the better of me. If I had played solid in r2, I'd be bringing in a top 10 or top 5. -27 for 3 of the 4 rounds, but add in round two and that remains a -27.
Course played great this week, especially in the wind, hope we get more like this down the road

61-66-67-61: -33 Total: Hope for a Top 10, Regarding Sweeney shooting -46 or whatever the exact number was, I'll quote the famous line of Bobby Jones on Nicklaus or Nicklaus on Tiger, "He plays a game with which I'm not familiar"...Well done indeed!
