Conditions are identical for all rounds. Medium firmness, fast greens. Thursday and Friday course playing 7118...Saturday and Sunday playing over 7500. Toughest pins are on Friday. So - why did it go to medium firmness? How does it play better that way? Are greens sped up from before?

Shortening two of the four days and dialing back the firmness should make for a much more enjoyable round that still provides challenge.

Plenty of run-ups and it felt like its that kind of course. But it's a great design that should play well. Just a bit strange that it's being made "easier" for a tour stop compared to the original..,,

I wish they would consider the Firestone course, I've been to the tourney several times, and think its a pretty great GNCD rendition (although I'd prefer a diff theme than autumn/harvest)

My 4/5 birdies all came on the shorter holes/Par 5's. I don't want a birdie fest but rurning down the firmness a tad seems resonable to me

There shouldn't be a cut seeing as the real life tourney doesn't.

Nor does the RL tournament have 140 players.

Nor does the RL tournament have 140 players. This is why i asked. The first WGC (Cadillac) had no cut but the field was only 100.

This works against me since I want to play, but I think the field should be limited to about 80 to keep as true to life as possible.

Played four practice rounds of this course at all four pin setups in one sitting yesterday. Winds on all four courses were 6-11mph. It is much more playable than the original, though the greens are 3-4' quicker in pace. Really need to be below the hole to be aggressive on birdie putts. I took 4 putts from 25 feet on one hole. The course is a beast in yardage on the weekend. Get ready to wear out your 5 wood and 3 iron from the fairway on many par 4's. If the wind blows any direction in your face on the par 4's, 3 wood becomes necessary.
