No qualifying, huh? Guys who haven't been on here long enough to get their WGR up are out of luck? Same as real life.

Clue is in the name - invitational There are guys who've been here 9/10 weeks who've managed to force their way into/close to the top 100 so it is possible. if you play well consistently you'll end up exactly where you should be eventually

That's fine, I should do well in a weakened PGA field anyway.
I joined in April and haven't missed a PGA cut and played a Euro event and got second. Currently sitting in the mid 200s so it's pretty tough to crack the top 100 in the first few months.
I have no doubt I'll get there eventually.

Another Harbour Pointe replica incoming Medium firmness on greens (original had firm setup) Nooo... When it was built for firm? Has Canucks signature slopes - but won`t it be a duck shoot with medium firmness? There are no defences in front of greens as far as I remember - so good pin placement will be difficult without tricking them up on ridges etc.... Or - are we shooting 5w into all the greens? .

A win or even top 3 in a low strenght field will catapult you up the WGRs. Placement outweighs strenght of field.

With you on this one. Played the original and shot -4/5 . Really enjoyed it

I started masters week on PGA at around 700 in WGR I believe. I've played in around 14 events with like 8 top 10's 11 top 25's and no missed cuts and just now am 73rd in WGR.

Yeah - the points really taper off outside the top 5.
The tapering off of old points (only get full points for 13 weeks) is really slow as well... Should mirror the real calc exactly if I remember correctly.

Thing is the top guys are so consistent and play every week, so the gap from the top 10 to where i am is absolutely massive so even regular Top 10's won't cut it
Heck, the guy who won the US Open and the French the following week only jumped from 100 odd to 40

Conditions are identical for all rounds. Medium firmness, fast greens. Thursday and Friday course playing 7118...Saturday and Sunday playing over 7500. Toughest pins are on Friday.

Greens have been dialed back in firmness, but the speed of the putts are a bit quicker.

Hi guys, we've added another layer of qualifications to get into the WGC event *** must have PGA or Euro card as of Sunday, July 26th after W29 finalizedFollowing W29:- Previous winners on PGA/Euro Tours
- Top 100 WGR
- Top 15 finishers in PGA/Euro events since June 1
- 101-150 WGR
(in that order of priority)
All those people will get an invite - we'll take the top 140 (or less) that accept starting from the top down.
