I am the same as Orion mentioned. I have done well in tourneys and then a 9 bites me in the arse! I played all 4 rounds today and I would like to vote now to make Hobble the permanent course for CC-E. I went 67, 71, 62 and 67 for a -17 under overall. My previous best before this course was somewhere around +14! Hopefully I can finish higher than the normal 60th place this time! I'm not sure what went wrong the 2nd round. I played really well the other 3 but in that second round everytime I started getting under par I would bogey back to back holes. Nice shooting, ...at a guess,a Top 5 finish ..if not better

Yea, Kiwi,
Glad you mentioned about your opening post. Seems that maybe you might want to think twice on that. Remember what you said to me a few weeks ago in an opening post and that is why I hold you responsible for my on going slump? Just saying.......................
Me thinks that you have much more interesting things to say than maybe some optimistic and hopeful comments on some future prediction or well meaning statement of support. Understand your meaning and feelings behind it, but maybe you have the power of the hex in you (LOL) and you just did not realize it until now!! If this is so, I know of a good "Witch Doctor" that I can put you in touch with!?!?!?
My only purpose in telling you all of this is to help support a man with the large shoulders and who can get a "Subject Title" changed at the drop of a hat!!!! This kind of person deserves only the best from his peers, sometimes it is painful to hear such things, but in the long run, it does come from a good place.
Respectfully,
Orion.......................
Talk about responsible, I have now been given access to play test courses out for Tours ...Promoted to Ranger... No hats need tilting or Docs certs were required to fill this vacancy Thanks for the *chest bumping* ...oh btw I know you can do it ...{now look into my i's an my t's my comical attempt }... now get out there an practice See Doyleys thread post tgctours.proboards.com/thread/963/tgct-tricks-approach-chipping-puttingan also this post/thread tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3936/13-tried-true-tips-help?page=1&scrollTo=45941Yours One Good Bloke

I shot a 63 for round 1 also. WooHoo. Followed by 68, 66, 66. First time at the top of the leaderboard how long though is another matter. Played all the rounds and finished on -21, my best score. Not going to be good a enough to win but I smell another top 5 finish. Allan. Great stuff Alan. Very similar scoring pattern to me!

Glad that's over. Looks like I could finish in the top 10, hopefully. Shot 65,66,65,66.

Glad that's over. Looks like I could finish in the top 10, hopefully. Shot 65,66,65,66. That will be top 3, one shot better than me. I missed a tap in eagle on the last and it went 10 foot past, missed the return for a par. First time my controller "almost" got launched. Allan.

I left an eagle and two birdies out there. Not to mention a couple lip outs that cost me a couple bogeys. But all in all happy with my score this has been my best tourney yet. And that would be awesome to finish top 3. Good luck to all.

Round 3 was both a disaster and a great round for me. Disaster because a malfunctioning mouse cost me the tourney or at least a chance for a good place, a great round because of the recovery I accomplished from the disaster.
A bad mouse was the determining factor of my posting a 10 at hole #2. I should have exited the game and found the problem sooner, but I did not, so my bad. Later, I found that my left mouse button was malfunctioning and doing it on a intermittent basis. I kept playing even though I knew something was wrong, but it was too late to do anything about it by the time it became so bad that the damage was done. While swinging and holding the button down, sometimes the backswing would not initiate and when I would let go of the button, the swing would start again and I could not stop it at all. Then, all was good and normal, then it struck again while swinging and then letting up on the button, the swing would not stop, and all of this would end up at full power. Happened while teeing off, and while putting. Like I said, my bad for not exiting the first or second time it happened. All of this coupled with crazy video issues with background flashing on and off, vertical lines appearing on the screen, just a technical nightmare for the start of this round. So, at the end of the second hole, I was at +7 for the round. Thoroughly disgusted and pissed, I had to exit and do some troubleshooting. After a couple of hours, found the problem with the mouse, the video would have to wait until I could replace the card. Next day, went back to the game and reluctantly continued the round.
With the winds being the highest thus far, thought my chances to get a few strokes back were going to be difficult. Playing in 8 to 14 mph winds from the SE, things improved immediately at #3 and was able to get a great eagle. At the end of the front 9 did get back to 6 over par at that point, a couple of birds with a couple of bogies got me to this point. Then on the back 9, got some momentum going with a couple of immediate birds, then another eagle came my way with some extra birdies and by the end, shot a -5 on the back (even with another double bogey in the mix). So, after this 18 holes now done, finished with a remarkable 1 over 72. I just have to think what it would have been had not the bad mouse getting me so early in the match. I have to feel good about the recovery, but am still kicking myself for not stopping at the first sign of the mouse problem. I blame my own stupidity on not acting as I should have. Have to play them as they lie I guess.

Orion and Kiwi and fellow golfers,
I found this course a little deceptive. I had winds of 3 mph up to 14 mph and the latter certainly did not assist with long par drives, in fact they were quite the opposite.
However I enjoyed the course and can reiterate what another golfer wrote that the next course is full of surprises.
So, practice that one if indeed you have finished Hobble Creek as I have found it to be quite a demanding course given the altitudes of the fairways. So get into some practice those both high and low altitude fairways.
Good luck to all and kind regards,
oz
And here is a perfect pitch shot I made on the 1st during my tour......

Finished round 4 and not to good of a finish overall, ended up with a +2, 73. Winds were from the SE, 9-15 mph. and was difficult on a few holes but nothing to whine about, part of the game. The really only good thing to report for me was that there were no DDB's in this round (Dobie Double Bogies, as I call them). This was the only round I had without one, YEA for that! End up at +3 for the tournament, will have to see how far down below the medium point that places me. Sure you guys have noticed that no one on CC-E has earned a strike yet. That speaks to me as a very close set of golfers we have in this division. Will be interesting to see if this trend continues, hope it does. I see CC-E as the main collection point for most of the Q-School grads and as such, we get a good number of the players which creates a very fluid group, those that come up from CC-Z and those that move quickly out of here and on to CC-D. That's why I find it interesting about the strikes, but it is still early and you know what always happens.
Best of luck next week, seems we are all going to need that........
