Well, i dunno maybe just me..but when i know that i've missed the cut i don't bother to play the last two rounds....I AM SURE i am not alone...So here's the thing, i am sure that a cut is not necessary........There is, i think, a way to get back into the BIG leagues that being Q-School.......that is still available to all.......is it not?? That's next on our list to discuss - so once we nail down that after these changes we'll disperse that info asap. But it is our intention to have a Q-School type event for the bottom web.com and top Challenge Circuit players like we set out to do initially. Just need to give it all a second look now after all the changes and see what makes the most sense. It was always going to be a certain % of Web.com and CC that would qualify for Q-School (in which Web.com cards were up for grabs). Not to be confused with our Q-School that acts as an initial sort for new members. We'll likely have to come up with a new name for one of them to keep the confusion at bay! How about 'The Challenge Circuit Finals'? Seeing as it's the Web.com Tour Finals for the top of Web/bottom of pga&euro. Will these be played over 4 events at the same time as the FedEx cup like real life? Also, if someone has more points in CC-B compared to a player in CC-A would they qualify ahead of them? Or do you have to be in CC-A?

Poor choice of words on my part. My stats are still there but they are no longer counting towards end of season goals. Essentially we've reset with this latest reconfiguration making my last 6 months almost irrelevant. Your last 6 months is counting towards your current points tally in the Challenge Circuit mate. Top percentage of challenge circuit players and bottom percentage of web players go into an end of season tourney to fight for a web card. So relax, your last 6 months do count as you're currently 7th in CC-B :-) Maybe a way to see how we scored the points would help?

I would suggest an incremental increase in the cut lines as players progress. Right now PGA, Euro, and Web are about 70/150 or 46%. I would suggest A has the same ratio. Then: - B: 50%
- C: 60%
- D: 70%
- E: 80%
- Z: 100%
I like this idea of tiered percentages!! Although I would be happy with 50% for every circuit with maybe Z being the exception!!

I've always liked cuts but if we did use them on CC I'd be in favor using them just on CC-A and CC-B.

You could argue either way right? There are some people that miss the cut by 1. But then there are some people that make the cut then have a bad round right after. So for those guys they lock in a better placement without the pressure of having to play well all 4 rounds. You can have 2 bad rounds and not have the pressure of needing a birdie in the 4th round to stay in the top 70 if there are no cuts. So it goes either way honestly.

No cuts on any of the challenge groups pretty please! Prior to the introduction of flights I played on Web tour and missed most cuts. Really no fun to feel like one did not get to finish something one has started. Post fights and after demotion to Champs tour playing was just so much more enjoyable. A single disaster hole will hurt ones chances of a good finish, but at least one can still fight back and finish as best as one can. Don't care if I finish tied 678th - at least it is in top 700! Real life dudes at least everyone in the field is competitive enough to make the cut based on ability. Computer game, nah, abilities differ enough so that top guys in whatever group will nearly always end up top and guys at the bottom end ability wise of same group will nearly always end at the bottom.

i would have to vote for no cuts. i was on web.com A and although i only had a chance to play a few tourneys the ones i did play i missed the cuts and it just felt empty. the first tourney i did i was super nervous and shot -1 and then my next round i shot a -11 and then missed the cut and still decided to play and shot another -11 and then a -10 so i actually wouldnt have finished as bad as i did. and doyley made an excellent point that if you miss a cut your missing out on points.

I am not in the CC tour but do agree with Doyley in that the way it's structured then cuts would be difficult to operate.
The way the whole site is set-up now is excellent for a few of reasons
1. In the CC tour everyone gets four rounds and that one bad round won't kill off your participation or enjoyment
2. If the expansion of players continues then extra flights are easier to add into the CC
3. If more and more players improve to the point that a lot of players are playing in the top three tours then other tiers can be added there too without dispruting everyone (challenge tour etc)
I like the idea of a change of pace as you get better.

I started on Champions tour, went to Web, and then Euro. In my view: no cuts until the Web.com level.
Reasoning: People are either trying to progress tours as they improve, or they are just looking to have fun and play when they can. Either way, at the CC level, they just aren't consistent... at least not yet.
Web.com is where consistency can and should be expected, and you have to put a decent round or two in at the start in order to last until the weekend.
Plus with tournament winds coming back in, exposure to 4 rounds guaranteed gives people more tournament pressure situations in different conditions, which will help them improve faster (if that is their goal).

As a course designer if you are lucky enough to get a course on the challenge circuit the no cuts gets you double the plays. But as a player I enjoy the pressure of trying to make the cut

No cuts 4 rounds shows where you are at on the tournament. I also like the extra rounds for the tie braker because there are so many players.
