Anyone want to talk about winds?

I thought that tgctours would set the winds for all rounds at 0 - 5 mph.
But seriously, I think will be interesting to see if the gap between the leader and the cut line increases. I've always thought that "wind waiters" are more middle of the pack, than top players. ⛳

Had a really nice tournament. Shot a 60 in round 1 in the strong winds to get off to a nice start. In round 2, I took advantage of the low winds and shot a 57 to get to -27 through 2 rounds. I had it at like -12 thru 13 to start and coasted in with 3 more birdies. In round 3, I made some bad swings and got a bit unlucky. I caught two "phantom" trees on the short par 4 and then on the 18th. I also had a 60% on a par 5 because of the weird glitchy second or two that the ps4 is experiencing when you address the ball. I managed to fight through it and still shot a 62 to get to -37, but I still felt like I left some shots out there in that round more than my others. In the 4th round, I got off to a really slow start and thought I was screwed. I lost some major ground to the ps4 leader who's always at the top of the overall leaderboard and I wanted to stay with him. I came to #11 just -5 and 4 shots back. I finished with 6 birdies and an eagle to shoot 59 and to tie him. That got me to -50 on the week. I really have no clue how that will fare overall but it's tied for the top of ps4 and PC so far. It was a very fun course with soft greens for a change.

Was playing well (-17 for tourney up to R2 hole 7), then I hit a tree I didn't expect and went in the lake, then pitch around it and ended up taking a double. Tried a cut drive on the next hole and it looked like it wasn't near the tree, but it fell into heavy rough, caused another bogey. Then I sputtered around and finished -10 for R2. -21 going into the weekend sounds decent, but I bet there's going to be some excellent scores. May even be close to the cut line.

I've always thought that "wind waiters" are more middle of the pack, than top players. ⛳ Tournament creators have no control over the winds. They are random each round. Just now everyone plays the same random.

Just went to post my opening round 59, and apparently I didn't register for this tournament. I was 99% sure I had registered, so this is really disappointing.

Another what could have been week for me I'm afraid. Some very good play generally. I hit so many shots that looked like they might go in for eagles this week, but managed to skirt the pin on the way past. I was pretty happy with how I played and the scores that I shot. 60,56,62,61 for a -49 total. Again though, I missed too many makeable putts, a couple of really short ones hurt. The only bogey I made in the whole tournament was on the 72nd hole. That was so frustrating, it's basically giving two shots away because if I take 3 wood I would have an easy birdie chance with a 20 yard pitch for eagle. I had 234 yards, a straight line to the pin as I had worked my tee shot to the perfect place on the left hand side of the fairway so the tree wasn't in my way and 3mph wind at my back. Knowing that I was sitting on -50 at the time, I was thinking I need to get to -52 to stand any chance of winning this thing. Even then believing that wouldn't be low enough really, I decided to go for it. I hit 5 wood, thinking that it would just carry and leave me a straightish 20 or 30 footer for eagle or maybe make a flukey albatross I hit it perfectly but of course it didn't carry and rebounded off the bank and into the water. I then played 3 wood over the back of the green and almost holed my 5th shot from 20 yards for par. I think the winning score will be nearer -60 than -50 anyway. If that's not the case and -51 would have had a chance, then I made the wrong decision. A really enjoyable course where you have to make decisions on many of the holes and shape your shots into position.

I shot 65-56-62-60 for a -45 total, which should give me my best finish of the year.
I had two bogeys, on #11 in round 1 when I put my tee shot in the water. The wind switched from 3:00 to 4:30 when the ball was in the air, and that slight change was enough to make the shot hit the bank and bounce back into the water. Then in round 3 I had a three-putt on #14.
The highlight was obviously the 56 in round 2. I got a par on #1, then birdied the next 12 holes, had a par on #14, then birdied the last 4. Had a couple of approach shots hit the pin, but I couldn't get an eagle to fall.
I must say it was nice knowing that everyone was playing the same winds, at least strength wise. I'm sure the top players will still be the top players, but at least now I know when I miss a cut it was because I played bad, not because I didn't wait for 2 MPH winds.

I also had a 60% on a par 5 because of the weird glitchy second or two that the ps4 is experiencing when you address the ball. I thought it was just me - had a 2 foot putt I missed due to this glitch (tapped it about 5 inches)

I noticed the pause before each shot when I started, but once I turned off ghost balls it disappeared.

I noticed the pause before each shot when I started, but once I turned off ghost balls it disappeared. I did for the first two rounds, then I must have gotten ahead of them and didnt for the last two...the last two rounds played as smoothly as they had prior to the patch....I agree it's something to do with the ghost balls. I didn't really notice it except for short putts....most drives, approach shots and longer putts I took longer to line up so that the glitch didn't come into play....tap ins is where it got me

I followed your ghost ball all 4 rounds and I actually felt bad for u when your ball went into the water on the 72nd hole. I figured you'd need to get to -52 or better as well. Too many people destroyed rd2 in no wind while I screwed it up.

Started of well, shot 12 under in Rd 1 Rd2 I was excited to see a 3 wind but wasn't able to take advantage of it, missed a lot of short-med putts. Only managed a 8 under. Rd 3 was playing ok 5 under thru 10 but a bad 90% tee shot on the par 3 11th led to a quad bogey 7. I did manage to birdie 6 of the last 7 holes to salvage a 7 under. Rd 4 just shot an average 11 under, again missed too many putts. 38 under.
Really enjoyed the new wind. Rd 1 3mph Rd2 10mph Rd3 3mph Rd4. 9mph The wind varied a plus or minus 1. I played Rd 1 & 2 with disturbed ghost ball. Rd 3 with psucappy Rd 4 with jondiesel Shot enable on for all 4 rds. It appear that for majority of the holes, my playing partner & I had the same wind & direction. Had a couple holes that look like there was a 180 difference, hopefully that can be fixed in the future but this is still better than it was. Twitched all 4 rds.
