Hello all and welcome to The Grey Matter Cup, the Kinetic tours unofficial mid season major. Why unofficial I hear you ask, well because every time I ask the admins to make in official, I am greeted with howls of laughter and comments such as, middle child tour wants a major, ha,ha and the pretend pro tours get a pretend major, and so on. But I have always treated this week as a major and that shall continue this week. Normally this week we use a harder course than usual, but since last weeks course was supposed to be a medium difficulty course and we saw what happened there, what the hell do I know. This weeks course though does have some crazy greens at time, firmness and speed have been reduced to make them more kinetic friendly but saying that, they can and will cause trouble if you miss the landing spot. The slopes can be used to feed the ball toward the hole at times but misjudge the greens and nightmare putts await. Finding the fairway is also a must if you want to score with not a lot of room for error. Saying that though, the course is scoreable and I expect some people to go low, you just have to hit the right spots, play the right shots, basicly use all that grey matter you have in your head, do that and you will be rewarded. So good luck everyone, have fun out there and I look forward to seeing who will be Kinetics unofficial major champion for 2024.

Thank heavens for greens that looked like two small boys fighting under a duvet. Scraped through with the other eleventeen folk on -15. A weekend away so done and dusted. Will not be troubling the prize table again this week but actually really enjoyed the course and setup this week. Like Dan said hit good approaches it is pretty straightforward, miss your spot and it gets tricky. Absolutely nothing wrong with something a bit harder every now and again.
