Fingers crossed I'll be playing Lido, along with the rest of the Sand Valley courses, in 2025.
The new Coore/Crenshaw, Cabot Saint Lucia, was ranked like 76 or something in that publication and it wasn't even open yet when the list came out.

The new Coore/Crenshaw, Cabot Saint Lucia, was ranked like 76 or something in that publication and it wasn't even open yet when the list came out. I did see that ranking for Point Hardy in St. Lucia also. Good to see some new courses dropping in. Some recency bias at play perhaps but nonetheless.

I also hope to play the lido possibly next year. I know a couple of caddies and played the Sand Valley course and Mammoth Dunes this year. From what I heard the Lido actually isn't getting all the attention and a lot of buzz is actually going the other new course, Sedge Valley by Tom Doak. I talked to two of the starters for my two rounds and both of them personally thought that Sedge Valley is now arguably the best course on the property. I don't know too much about it other than it rather short but super fun to play and is going to be very playable for all levels of golfers. I think part of it is the average golfer does not know the historical significance behind the Lido and what exactly it is. Part of it too is there are a lot of blind or semi blind shots that again a lot of average golfers don't love. Anyhow, I hope to play it myself next year and see what I think because that's just what I heard. Both new additions should do well though, and both courses should continue to rise up the rankings over next couple of years.

Someone posted a Doak video awhile back where he played this right before it opened with a couple other guys and with the backstory of the entire process building it...see if I can find it. Course looks awesome. Don't know what everyone's opinion of Erik Anders Lang is, I think he has some great course video features.
PS that screenshot is unbelievably good, the bunkering leaves me speechless.

How long until the proverbial snake eats it's self and we get a LIDAR pass of the course and gets recreated in PGA2k2-something?

How long until the proverbial snake eats it's self and we get a LIDAR pass of the course and gets recreated in PGA2k2-something? It won't be as good as the original Lido v1, especially off course, but I guess it will be slightly different.

How long until the proverbial snake eats it's self and we get a LIDAR pass of the course and gets recreated in PGA2k2-something? Peter Flory actually did build a Wisconsin-based Lido in-game, but I don't believe it's ever been published. See here for images of what it looks like: tgctours.proboards.com/post/621407/thread
