My sincere apologies to all players in CC that were overly frustrated by my course this week.It took alot of my time to design but I still think it played fairly. I am in CC-J and barely made the cut but I felt it was a solid challenge.Again.....my apologies to everyone.

We scheduled it because it’s a great course but we knew it would be a more tough week for lower guys. I admit I did the conditions and I’m still finding the appropriate balance for Lower levels vs upper levels so most of the frustration falls on me, not you or your lovely course. We try and sprinkle in harder and easier weeks so it’s not the same old every week in and out. Keep up the great work, I still mean what I said that you’re improving greatly with every course!

Just stumbled on this thread. As refreshing it is to see a designer and a scheduler take ownership of the struggles of the players, I think neither is warranted. Agree that it is tough to please players in such a vast range of abilities, the old saying goes "you can't please them all" and fits this subject to a tee.
Keep designing and keep scheduling you two, I for one appreciate your efforts.
Onward!

Couldn't see what was unfair. This week's course is much tougher!

What others have said. Every time a course is on tour, even now, I learn something, even if just watching how people play the holes. However, it's important to learn to filter out the noise and think about the feedback. Take on board what is fair and reasonable and discard what is just people hitting bad shots and moaning. You get a lot of the latter.

I'd take tougher courses like this every single week.
If a lower cc player shoots +24 for the event and a higher level cc player shoots -25 (as opposed to the -50's on the easier courses) I think that gives a more accurate representation of a players skill. Thats the way it should be.
Keep em coming. No need to apologize just because of a whiner or two. Or ever.
To the drama queens. Well piss off.

Can't really describe what that is, and it usually does not work, but last week it did! Onward!

I think the real test is going to be this week's course - A lot trickier than North of the Border!

Got the rug yanked out from me. Was under the tour qualifier projection... didn't end up making it. 3rd round really killed my chances, but it wasn't a problem with the course. I just made a lot of really bad swings back to back and it compounded very quickly. Had I played the same way as rounds 1 and 2 I would have been fine, and this course would have been locked in my memory as the one that got me my tour card.

Soak it in, teach! It doesn't get any better than one of your courses getting the type of reaction you just got.

I thought it was a tough course, but no way did I think it was unfair. I just played like crap a couple of rounds. I like the more challenging courses, we had a couple weeks of some courses that weren't as punishing. Keep at it!

No need to apologize for building a challenging course. It was tough and I had my struggles the last 3 rounds but that wasn't the course. That was on me and a lack of concentration. If you played the course the right away and hit good shots the possibilities to score were there.

With 12 divisions in the Challenge Circuit you are never going to please everyone. Nothing to apologise for, it was a good test and you should be very proud of your design.
