That's what I understand as well, only speed range will be set for each round not direction, so I guess that will be what everyone cries and moans about for the next six months.....they had a northerly I got a southerly wind, I got screwed whaaaa whaaaa Probably will. Hopefully designers are keen to making par 5's go different directions so it doesn't really make a difference. It is frustrating when all 4 par 5's go the same way and the wind is in the face on every one. lol From a designer stand point, it would be great to specify the general direction of the prevailing winds ... thus, you can design the course accordingly. Knowing which way the wind blows 90% of the time. This is something I wanted from day one. Makes no sense to me why we never had this capability, but so did other programming issues ...

Prevailing wind direction is an ok option for a creator...but I don't ever want to lock in winds. Can make the designs lazy.

"prevailing" is simply the direction from they blow a majority of the time, and its usually a range variance .... not one fixed direction. <shakes head>

whatever ... I still don't see why prevailing winds would make any "GOOD" designer lazy ... Personally, it would put more thought into mine ... Who knows ... I might even become a "GOOD" designer someday ...

I didn't say prevailing winds makes it lazy. I said fixed winds makes it lazy.
I'm fine with prevailing winds. Designers have taken that into consideration for years. Why so serious? *shrug*
