Black Salt reincarnated lol. Played terribly and paid for it with the 1st round conditions but this is really great stuff. Will have to get my tempo right before I can play it again.

What an a##!0#l! Loved the rockwork on 18 green. Ok, back to not playing the game anymore.

There is a right way and a wrong way to play a major course. Allow me to show you what not to do...
Big Pebble feels and the course certainly rises to the occasion of a major with diabolical greens when hit with poor approaches. It punishes in a way that makes you want to play another round to teach it a lesson... which you won't...
Fantastic environment and feels so real it makes you hold your breath on nearly every shot!

Glad I chose medium wind rather than high because pin 1 was pretty full on. Longest putt I made was 10ft and managed -2. Was fun though apart from missed short putts on the last 2 holes. Obvious nods to Pebble and Cypress but was the 2nd a nod to #8 at LACC?

Thanks fellas - sandgroper, loved your playthrough as ever and how you always took on the trouble haha. sirdumas - good spot. LACC did come in a bit with 2 and 15 in particular. There was originally a different 8th and 9th that also went down that route, but felt too much of a stark transition to the coastal holes. As is, I really like the 8-10 stretch now as a bit of a visual breather from the coastline.

Stunning course. Seemed like I never got a level lie or an easy shot on any hole. Managed 1 under in Medium winds can't imagine playing it in tougher conditions. Well done your courses are always a treat.

What a magnificent, absolutely seaside stunner of a course. Pebble 2? No, Pebble reimagined. But wow, some incredibly sloped fairways. Were the heavy equipment operators on strike?

I shot a -4 and I couldn’t be happier. This might be the best collection of par 5s I’ve ever seen on a golf course especially hole number 2. I played out of my mind other than the triple on 7. Great job good luck in the contest.

Just played a round at the Major, and I would like my dignity back.
In all seriousness, just a super cool take on the Pebble Peach vibe, with some George C. Thomas Jr. sprinkled in. Looking forward to swallowing my pride and playing a round as a Member very soon!

It appears you have achieved what you set out to achieve. Total ball breaker. Wonderful stuff.
