Hey everyone, new member of the forums.
I successfully made a course back in 19 with Chad's tool and I had no issues. Everything went smooth.
I'm trying to make my local course this year, on TGC19, to import to 23, and I'm having a lot of issues. My first issue is that when I import my Lidar data, I don't see the OSM Overlay in the greyscale image. It's all just grey. I also only have one box, not two.
Also, when I go ahead and outline my course and it starts generating, It finds over 200,000 trees so it would likely take 8+ hours to generate just the heights for the trees alone.
Any guidance? Like i said, the first time I made a course it was as smooth as could be.

It might help if you name the course or area, always a few lidar designers who might help you or look at it and try to help out.

If you’re getting that many trees it’s likely you’re not masking the playing area correctly. You should mask 100 yards from the perimeter of the playing area and if you have large area of dense woods it’s best to mask the middle of that wooded area and just leave a few rows of trees next to playing area, you can manually fill the rest of the trees in game to save object meter - LiDAR trees use more meter. After masking, make sure to tick the box “remove cliffs / add background terrain” this will fill in the masked areas automatically
