Hello,
Totally new here. I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide an empty course file created with TGC2019 so I can try to build a lidar based version of my local course. I have 2K23, created the base course, got the lidar data, but Chad's tool just shows a white (as opposed to black?) area. Also, when importing the elevation data, CT seems to hang on setting sun angle. I'm really just experimenting at this point and would rather not have to purchase TGC2019 for $67 CA only to find out that it's not going to work anyway :-) So, if someone could make a course created in 2019 available I think it would be of value to a number of people. Thanks!

You can buy a legit TGC 2019 Global keycode online cheaper than that and activate it on Steam. You will need 2019 to make a blank course file for every theme that you plan to use to import into Chads. The file you export from Chad is for use in 2019 only, you can open it, shift the terrain so that the ground surface layer is sitting in the proper place on the LiDAR data layer, MANY people fail to do this and the greens aren't where they are supposed to be and bunkers are the worst. More than like you need to enter -1.1 in the top box and 1.1 in the bottom one and hit Shift Terrain to get them right. Look at East/West and then North/South bunkers in 2019 that has a finger/tongue/etc .... to see if it's not draped to one side ... check you compass to see the 4 directions. Once you get that step done, save the course and you can then copy and paste the course file into 2k21 or 2k23. Link to buy TGC 2019

Thanks for the offer, but I followed BaconJunkie1's advice and bought a key, created the empty course and added my LIDAR data. Looks fantastic for elevations. Thanks so much for the help.

Rebel Creek near Kitchener, ON by the way. Maybe don't hold your breath while waiting - I'm completely new to this and expect it's going to take some time! Cheers.
