Always love watching the pros play this hole but it seems to divide opinion.
Personally, I think it’s a great short 4, lots of options, potential disasters (without the need for water or a tight tee shot), definitely in my top10 of short 4s.
What are this community’s thoughts on it?

Yes this one and the 10th on the Belfry are 2 of my favourites

The more I think about it though, I’d probably just rotate the green 45 degrees anti clockwise just to give more of a shot to a full wedge but also retain the challenge of trying to drive it

Would still be a horrible 100 yard wedge even with that rotation

Top hole that’s challenge has never truly been fully realised in video game golf.
Thought it may have cost Jon Rahm his W on Sunday..!

Played it 11 times in 2K21. 6 birdies, 3 pars, 2 bogies Played it 6 times in 2K23. 2 birdies, 3 pars, 1 bogie.
I'm a CC-L player and quite frankly not a good player, but if I can post those scores on arguably the hardest real life hole on Riviera, then perhaps HB/2K missed the boat?

It’s not the hardest real life hole at Rivera. Far from it. It still played under-par for the field in 2021. It had an average of 3.88. However it is tough for its yardage. “It ranks as the second-toughest par 4 of less than 350 yards on Tour since 2013 with a 3.92 scoring average in that span, trailing only No. 2 at Spyglass Hill (4.01).” golfweek.usatoday.com/2022/02/16/riviera-10-stats-maps-genesis-invitational-pga-tour/

I'm mistaken then. Your article, however, proves my point: "The PGA Tour reports that during the 2021 Genesis, there were 373 total tee shots on No. 10, with 297 of those taking aim at the green or its surrounds. Of those, only five came to rest on the putting surface. That’s a 1.7-percent success rate..."
This CC-L languishing golfer who is struggling on master in his second tour season on 2K23 birdied it 2 of 4 times with a par and a bogie. Considering this hole is one of the few my short range driver can actually carry, I did well above the actual tour field in hitting that green three of four times.

Set greens to 155 and set fairway and green firmness to very firm and play it again. That should give you a more realistic look at that green. That setting will also make it impossible to hold the 4th green and this will reflect real life

Fine for pros and low handicap players but not so good for the rest, especially those who struggle with bunkers.

Fine for pros and low handicap players but not so good for the rest, especially those who struggle with bunkers. On 2K21, hole 6 gave me fits. Playing 2K23 now, I laugh because there are entire courses now that I feel like the worst amateur golfer.

Would be better if restored to its original dimensions and the sand buildup was cut down.
