Was going to play round 3 last night but with how slow everything was going I decided to hold off. If you weren’t a big fan of this course after two rounds the third round will not help at all. Green speeds at 192 so don’t expect your ball to ever stop rolling. You pretty much need full loft on any approach shot or nothing but the lightest tap on the putter for any putt under 25 ft and even that might not be enough. Fortunately my tee shots were fairly consistent and my putting was decent enough for me to trade enough birdies and bogeys to stay around par all round. A four putt from mid range on 16 gave me a double bogey and dropped me to +1 for the round which is where I finished. Happy to escape with that. At this point just making the cut to lose my last demotion mark is all I was hoping for this week, so anything I manage in rounds 3 and 4 is fine with me. You may not know this, but your fittings or skill tree are actively making the greens faster (max designers can set is 186, so you’ve managed to add 6 to that). You want as LOW a putt roll as possible if you struggle on fast greens. Slightly ludicrous system but thought I’d flag. I’ll assume this only applies when you have a putter in your hand? So on approach shots or chip shots the ball would roll at 186 speed across the greens and only when you’re putting does the speed magically bump up to 192?

We’ll that first round was about as ugly as I’ve had in ages. Couldn’t hit any tempo off the tee consistently, couldn’t putt, couldn’t do much of anything. Not sure if I want to blame myself or the lighting. My eyes really did not want to properly focus on anything while playing so while it feels like I’m making an excuse I don’t think I can say that it honestly didn’t hurt my score.
So much for getting rid of my demotion marks with that +10 in the first round even though I see early scores are quite bad in general.

I was +3 on the front 9 in Rd 1, but managed to turn things around in just a few holes. I had a chip in from a fairly long distance for eagle at the 11th and followed that with a birdie at 12 to bring me back to level par. However, I had a ugly 4 putt on the par 5 and ended up with a final score of+ 2. I'm quite surprised at how high this places me on the leaderboard, so I have good chance of making the cut.

Played my second round to get this week done and over with. Turns out actually being able to see what I was doing helped my game a lot. After an eagle on hole 11 I was at -6 for the round. And that was with some very horrible tee shots on the first five or six holes. A couple bogeys to go with a single birdie slowed my momentum but I’ll take a -5 round any day of the week. From +10 after one to +5 after two may not be enough to make the cut but it may be enough to get me out of demotion strike range.

Back to Tour L after a short and horrible stay in K. My game has become very inconsistent due to my suspect putting becoming worse. Played one great tournament upon my return and followed it up with a +9 performance in Rds 1 & 2.
I'm 2 shots from making the cut so fingers crossed I could still sneak in and earn at least some $$$$

Great turnaround in Rd 2 Boffo, I, unfortunately went in the opposite direction. I had a complete disaster of a round and shot an +11 83. I went from +2 to +13 for the tournament and missed the cut by several shots.

Looks very likely that I will end up making the cut. Such a nice feature of CC-L that you can make some mistakes and not worry that it’s cost you the whole week. One really good round can make you but one really bad round won’t necessarily break you.

Bad light again in round 3 so I was hoping to just hang on. Played within one stroke of par most of the way. Was actually sitting -2 with three holes to go but finished those bogey, bogey, triple bogey to finish +3. Not a nice way to end and totally changed my opinion of my round. Still better than +10, I guess but still disappointed with what almost was.

So back in round 1 I finished the round but my score didn’t post. Checked the 3rd party access thing but it was on. Went to start round 3 but instead it had me replay hole 18 on round 1 from my second shot. Still scored the same as my first try, so whatever.
Played round 3 yesterday but my score wasn’t posted today. Round 4 started me on the 18th green with my 6 ft. bogey putt which I originally managed to 3 putt. This time I made it cutting two strokes off my original score giving me +1 for the third round instead of +3. I know it’s not my fault but I can’t help but feel a little dirty getting those two bonus strokes I didn’t deserve.
Round 4 was just some sloppy golf on my part but I ended up +1(or -1 from the score I originally was supposed to go into round 4 with) to finish +7 for the week(really +9). Assuming it registers that I completed the round and doesn’t make me play some of 18 again.
Looking at the leaderboard those two strokes will probably only bump me up a few spots but I still feel bad about it.
Edit:just checked and I have 4 scores posted on the site so looks like I’m locked in at +7.

Played my first two rounds. Made it through 36 holes without making a single serious mistake. Didn’t really make any spectacular shots either but it was essentially two full rounds of perfectly competent golf. Get on in regulation, two putt for par. If not that then it was just miss the GIR, short chip close to the hole, tap on for par. There was very little deviation from this as I went -1 and -3. No scores posted yet and while the course isn’t particularly difficult I have to assume -4 should be enough to make the cut in just about any CC-L event.

I had my joint best ever round on masters clubs with a -5 in Rd 1. This put me 5th on the leaderboard which was great for someone who has only ever made 4 cuts. Rd 2 was one of the wildest rounds of golf that I have ever played. I started off with a birdie and was cruising at level par through 6. I then had a nightmare quad bogey at the 7th and followed that up with bogeys at 8 and 9. Things got even worse after a double bogey at 13. I went from being -6 for the tournament to +4.
At this point, I was missing the cut and just completely relaxed and stopped overthinking. Unbelievably, I birdied 16, 17 and 18 and made the cut. I'm going for a lie down after that round.

My consistency in the first two rounds disappeared in the last two and they sound a lot like your second round.
My third round featured a quadruple bogey and a double bogey but I finished the round +1. My fourth round saw me go +5 on holes 1, 17, and 18 but get no other bogeys in between to also finish +1. Certainly not the funnest or most relaxing way to play a round of golf, I can agree with you on that.

Same thing that happened to me last week has happened again this week. Finished my rounds, advanced out of the event and everything looked done. Was checking the leaderboards and noticed my fourth round score was missing. Went into the game and it had me back on my third shot of hole 18 which I originally double bogeyed. Had to play out the hole in order to post a score and ended up getting par. So once again I gained two bonus shots that I shouldn’t have had and now sit -4 for the event. This must be happening for some other people as well, I’d assume?

Deserved or not I’m sitting in the top 10 for the first time in many a year. I’m certainly not progressing as fast as I did back in the original TGC days but it seems like I’m making baby steps to improvement. I’m happy way down here in CC-L at the moment so I’m fine with that.
