Good luck everyone! I got promoted up to K. Hope to see some of you follow. Had a great opening round at Frag Hill. -10 and currently in 2nd place for round 1. LOTS of golf to go but a pretty decent debut!

My system is down and out — busted cooling pump for the CPU is going to take at least a week and maybe more to get taken care of because I live in the boondocks. I had just picked up a PS5 controller too, gonna have to wait to get that one out on the course.

I had a disastrous start to Rd 2 with a double bogey at the first, but I settled down after that and didn't make another bogey until the back nine. I was -1 for the round and -6 for the tournament and it was looking good for making my first cut in months until I got to the 14th. I bogeyed three in a row and then double bogeyed 17th, but I scrambled for par at 18 and finished + 4. So I am - 1 through 36 holes and at present the cut is + 1. Hopefully it will be good enough.

Thankfully, I managed to make the cut by a few shots. I finished the tournament with a total score of + 1. It's amazing how relaxing the 3rd and 4th rounds are on once you have made the cut and you have no chance of contending. Let's see what next week brings.

I missed by a stroke which is pretty much what I was expecting once the 2nd round scores were first posted. Riding within a stroke or two of the cut line each week makes it tough to play any set schedule of rounds on certain days as I don’t want to play rounds 3 and 4 if I don’t have to, but at least it’s a sign that I’ve improved. My first stint in CC-L was three straight weeks at or near the bottom and demoted back to Q-school. I’ve hung around much better since getting re-promoted and feel like I now belong at this level. Still a long way to go to be competitive but at least I’m relevant currently.
Finished round 1 for this week and actually scored under par with a -1. Still just trying to play safe, uneventful golf each round and limit the mistakes that can lead to a bad score. One more round at or near par and I might actually have a chance at comfortably making a cut. No pressure.

Well played Boffo, it's a tough course and any score under par is a good one. I shot a + 5. I completely agree that the key is to avoid big mistakes. Every tournament is like the US Open, bogeys are ok, just avoiding the doubles and triple bogeys are essentially. I doubled bogeyed one of the par 5's which is always annoying. It will be interesting to see what the cut will be this week.

7th out of 28 really early. I’ll take a top 25% any day. Still time for me to mess it up. I had 3 bogeys and four birdies so nothing too extreme one way or the other. Looking at my stats I actually hit the GIR on two of my three bogeys but three putted those two holes. Now I’m annoyed because three putts are the main thing I want to see removed from my game.

+6 second round so expect +5 to be somewhere close to the cut line. Definitely more challenging pin positions in the second round with ample break on most putts. I three putted a 7 footer and threw in a four putt for good measure. It was painful.

Looking like a cut of either +4 or +5, so roughly what I figured the moment I posted my score. Would be nice to make the cut and lose my demotion mark but it looks like I shouldn’t be adding another one, so that’s good.

After a little waiting I got a warranty replacement for my cooling pump installed last night so I could get back to golfing. Using a new PS5 controller instead of an Xbox Elite 2 so it's not exactly like getting back on the bike. Took about five or six practice rounds getting my feel back after almost two full weeks off and decided to go ahead and shoot this week's opening two rounds. Even par in the first after a double bogey on hole 1 was more than acceptable, but then I went +3 in the second with zero birdies on the back nine. It was projecting a +2 cut line before I started the second round but now it's saying +3, so I'm sitting just on the sunny side right now. Hoping that'll hold up and squeak me through for a chance to improve my score as I keep getting my feet back underneath me. Good luck boffo -- only 71 entries so far, it'll be close when the deadline arrives.

Well, ended up squeezing under the cut line at +3. Fired an even third round and a +1 final to end up +4. For my first event back after a few weeks off I'll take that for sure. I also played in the promotion event and ended up +1 across the four rounds there. Not sure if that will help me climb out of CC-L but I'm looking forward to seeing the final results.

I got off to a disastrous start this week by finding the water on both the 1st and 2nd holes. I was + 3 heading to the 6th, which I managed to birdie, and then an eagle at the 7th got me back to level par. I had a few more bad holes to start the back nine and found myself back at + 3. However, I made a couple of more birdies and finished with a total of +1. I'm happy with that after the bad start. Good luck to everyone this week.

My first round was steady. Two bogeys and two birdies and pars the rest of the way to sit even par. Was never in any serious jeopardy at any point and never made any shots that were special and saved me any strokes. It was just formulaic get on the green in regulation and two putt for par. The exact sort of round I’m going to be satisfied with at this level.

Just started playing last week. It's a steep learning curve, but I'm learning a lot on the move. Started +18 on R1, followed by a +15 in R2. Decided to focus on one part of my game at a time and hit a +4 in R3 - really focusing on my drives. The driving is sort of getting there, now I need to continue my learning and be better at hitting those green in regulations and avoid putting too many times xD
Just wanted to let you guys know that - even though I'm not getting the best scores - the TGC Tours experience is really fun and addictive!
