Hi there,
Forgive me for this amateur request. I've started the process of trying to recreate my home course: St Catharines Golf and Country Club which is celebrating its 125th anniversary next season. It's an old Stanley Thompson gem.
I've gone through the OSM and filled in as much as I can. I've also managed to find the LiDAR renderings for the area (I think). But now I'm stuck. Mostly because I don't have a PC and can only build on 2k21 on PS4 but also because the Canadian LiDar seems more complex and I'm not sure if it even works anymore with Chad's tool?
If there is anyone that would be willing to help me with this, I'd be most appreciated. If I need to purchase 2k21 on Steam, I am game to do that-- but I don't know if it's even worth doing that if I can't get the LiDAR synced up with the OSM inputs I've already done.
Any suggestions on next steps? Or anyone kindly willing to help out?

If you share where you downloaded the lidar files I can try them in the tool. That said, to edit the course you would need the game on Steam. Might be worth waiting to purchase until new game comes out since tool will hopefully continue to work.

I might be missing a step however I am not figuring out how to download the .LAS or .LAZ files. When I go to the download page it downloads a .ZLAS file.

While that does help, it doesn't get the answer we were hoping for. The dataset you linked to is in "Southwestern Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2015 Classified LAS". It appears the dataset we need to download from is "Ontario Classified Point Cloud (Lidar-derived)". I checked the map using that dataset and it appears to cut off from Hamilton to Niagara.

That one is out of my depth as well. When I tried to download the tool needed it mentioned Python requirements. If you want to try to convert them I'd be happy to throw them into the tool for you to test out results.

That works! Here it is imported in TGC19 since you mentioned that version. It would work in 2K21 as well. I imagine the new version would work whenever it releases but we will see. Let me know if you have any other questions! i.imgur.com/h6sr0OV.jpg

Man that is awesome. Hard to see the elevation changes in that jpeg but I'm guessing they are there. Okay, I guess I'll start with TGC19 and work my way up. Thanks again.

Tough to see because it is zoomed out but its there (appears to be a valley in middle of course) - is there a specific hole you would like me to zoom in on and take another pic? Just let me know!
BTW, you can edit it in either game. I prefer to use the 2K21 because it has a few more options that make life easier.

Maybe hole 3? There should be a valley that cuts across the tee box and runs before the green on hole 8 as well. Can you start editing in one and then migrate over and edit in the other? Curious.
