TOUGH course. Uneven lies into sloped greens , hard to keep the ball below the hole. Even with fair to moderate wind, it made it very challenging. My asset is ball striking and it was hard to reliably get the ball close. Putted average to below average, disappointing play so far. Great course design, but personally I think it would be a more enjoyable course if the green speeds were a bit lower give their significant slopes. Oh well good luck to everyone!

After my first round, I was really mad and not loving the course. Through the tournament, I came to appreciate it. You have to give all of your attention to every shot and exactly where you want to land it. Once I realized this, I stepped up my game. Started out 64, 62 and wasn't too happy but I knew it was plenty to get me to the weekend, which is where I've come on strong as of late. On Saturday, I got going a little bit with some help from a hole-out for eagle on the 11th. Earlier in the round I bogeyed #4 because I went in that front bunker which is impossible to get out when going for the pin. Closed out with some nice birdies for a 60 to put me at -30 going into Sunday. I started fairly slow in the 4th round, due to ANOTHER bogey on #4. Played #4 +3 which really stings. I kicked it into gear a bit on the back after a front nine 32. I got to #15 at -7 on the day and just hoping to get 3 out of the last 4 to shoot 62. Instead I finished birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie to shoot another 60 and finish the week at -42. I'm excited because I joined the tour on the week of the Masters and this is the first big tourney I qualified for. I'm hoping it'll be good enough for a top 20. On the ps4, I'm in 3rd place, 1 shot back of 2 guys which stung because of 3 bogeys on the same hole. All in all, it was a great tournament at an awesome venue. The Sunday pins are really tough and guys will have really be perfect to get to -50 this week. I think that'd win it. Good luck everyone!

Sheesh. I said -18 would be plenty to get me to the weekend but the scores posted so far have been low. *These guys are good*

I played multiple practice rounds and never got a good feel for the course. Felt I knew where I wanted to land the ball and still had a difficult time. My personal guess is -48 or less will win unless someone is really on fire. Going in I didn't have high hopes. Never got comfortable on the greens. Nice playing! Rd 1: 63 with two three putt bogeys Rd 2: 62 with one three putt bogey Rd 3: 65 with two three putt bogeys Rd 4: 66 no 3 putts but lipped a lunch of putts out Total -32...meh

I personally was extremely pleased with how I got it going on the weekend. Easily the best rounds I played here including practice rounds. I also had the winds steadier around 8-11 instead of up towards 15. I'd say you're probably right about that score. I see a guy just posted -14 but that'll be tough to sustain. DLW is at -36 going into round 4 I believe. Those 3-putt bogeys are the worst. I had one on #17 and one on #4 that I remember clearly. You could lose some putts going downhill out there but luckily I made the comebacks usually. I've played Sawgrass once, and those greens are definitely the same way. At least you put up the two low rounds early so you'll be good for the weekend.

Well, after two rounds I'm 5 under on the front nine, and 16 under on the back nine. Can't figure the first 7 holes out! Leaving myself tough putts (or chips) early in the round.
I'll be back Friday to play my next 2 rounds (assuming -21 makes the cut).
Cheers everybody! Have a safe Cinco de Mayo.

-8 through 2 rounds for me. Usual thing - play well in practice (-7 to -10 was about my average) but massively choke when the tournament starts, especially on the greens. Must have missed 12-15 putts from inside 15ft over the 36 holes. I'll be outside the Top 100 in the WGR before you know it

Hmmm I really might have a chance here. Had 4 practice rounds so far with -12 being my lowest!

Hmmm I really might have a chance here. Had 4 practice rounds so far with -12 being my lowest! "Its easy to talk about, its easy to sum it up when you just talk about practice. We sittin' in here, I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we in here talkin' about practice. I mean listen, we talkin bout practice. Not a game, not a game, not a game. We talkin bout practice. Not a game, not a, not a, not the game that I go out there and die for, and play every game like its my last. Not the game. We talkin' bout practice, man. I mean how silly is that? We talkin' bout practice. I know I'm supposed to be there, I know I'm supposed to lead by example. I know that, and I'm not shovin' it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know its important, I do. I honestly do. But we talkin' bout practice, man. What are we talkin' bout? Practice? We talkin' bout practice man. We talk... We talkin' bout practice. We talkin' bout practice. We ain't talkin' bout the game, we talkin' bout practice, man. When you come into the arena, and you see me play, you see me play, don't you? You see me give everything I got, right? But we talkin' bout practice right now. We talkin' bout practice. Man look, I hear you, its funny to me too. I mean, its strange, its strange to me too. But we talkin' bout practice man. We not even talkin' bout the game, the actual game, when it matters. We talkin' bout practice."
