Welcome to week 7! The course this week is a brute by none other than csugolfer60 otherwise know by his alias as Dario. Dario is an incognito professional golfer with a unique perspective on how courses can challenge even the greatest players having experienced a lot of it first hand. With that in mind, his courses usually make for some truly testing experiences even in the virtual world, with shaker valley being no exception. Enjoy this parkland golf course that really does give off that "tournament golf" vibe. I've heard some reports of ghost break rearing its ugly head frequently this week, worm cam might be necessary

Can confirm phantom break on 1st hole round 1.
It's a shame my second round 56 is going to be undone by my first round 69.

You gonna run out of major-level courses any time soon? π Nope! I might schedule a course that's easier if you dont mind a week with a -25 cutline

Still hereβ¦ πππ This week: eye problem + phantom breaks = rage-infused speed golf = numerous red thingies "Phantom Breaks"....that's the term that highlighted my crappy -10 cut line. Lipped out first 2 holes from 5 ft and 9 ft and that set the tone for my putting throughout. Yes, I know the games not perfect but this course was particularly nasty on straight putts breaking and breaking putts moving very little. Maybe I just don't fully understand how the grid works....i.e. where the break actually is in relation to the moving pips on each line. Possibly why my TST play is better at the moment?!?

Love a Dario course. The tight fairways and brutal pin placements will definitely screw people over on occasion! Great pick as always and good luck to all of you, you'll need it this week!

Completely choked last week. 58 (-12) R1 and thought I would coast to another made cut. Instead I limped through a 66 (-4) R2 to leave me a few strokes short.
After a solid 60 (-10) R1 this week, I was determined not to let that happen again. Rattled off a 57 (-13) in R2, to have me at -23 heading into the weekend. Was a tale of what could have been in the second round as well, as I left two <7yd chip-in birdies just short of the hole (clearly I need to make sure I'm putting enough power on chips at that distance!), and then lipped out an eagle putt on 18.
Hoping I can bring my A-game for the weekend!
Side note, I remember seeing some discussion in the TST section about getting rid of the dusk setting. What are people's thoughts on that here? I mean I still shot great in R2, but for me I've always noticed dusk makes almost every course way laggier on XB. Food for thought!

Well the Kitchen is still open. Place your order. Sadly I canβt buy a cut this season. But I have had to cut my playing time down by 50%. So my aim from trying to break into the top 100, is replaced with. Remaining in Plat as long as possible. π¨π»βπ³β³οΈ

CSU has always gotten the better of me with his courses. Can't put my finger on why, but I never seem to perform well on them, regardless of how nicely made they are. So having said that, I'm perfectly pleased to be sitting within the cutline heading into the weekend - provided that doesn't change, which I don't think...think...it will.
GL everyone

Thanks for playing this course gents - even though I barely work in the designer at the moment, itβs fun to see this get on Platinum. Had a feeling it would be eaten up score-wise, as itβs more of a realistic layout compared to my past ones, but its great seeing everyone at least see some challenge there. Thanks to Q for putting in the rota, and good luck to everyone this week π

Loved the course and setup. Even if it's death settings....well I usually do good on those weeks. Fun as hell Dario.
2nd again, Lindsay has been great this season and deserved it. I had a lot of chips bounce off the post and I missed 2 seven footers on 16. Gotta be better to get my first win this season.
Three 2nd places is pretty good for the season though.
