I saw this in another thread but I cannot seem to find it now. I'm a noob first off so please consider that when replying. What I am wondering is how restrictive this policy is? The reason I ask is because I discovered the thumb on the edge of the mouse pad technique to keep my shots straight. When I first got the game , I'm a mouse player, It was almost impossible for me to keep a shot straight. I mean, for me it made the game no fun because I could not even hit a fairway. Also I am a handicapped player.(I mean actually physically handicapped) I have to sit in a recliner and in a reclined position to be able to play. This means my mouse has to be use on the cushioned arm of my recliner with a mouse pad. After asking for some help I am able to shoot very straight for the most part. I still get a few shanks per round usually. Now, with that said, just because I can shoot straight does not mean I am any good at this game. There are so many other things that go into the shot. Club choice, wind, knowing the course, green speeds, shot distance etc. None of this can really be "cheated", to my knowledge. I still am shooting in the high 80's to 90's even with my straight shots. So why is this really an issue. I mean, in the end, just because somebody shoots straight or some may have figured out some way to manipulate a straight shot does not necessarily mean they are any good. I do not mean to insinuate that I have done anything other than use the thumb track technique with my mouse pad but I really was wondering how straight can get you DQ'd. I love playing this Tour experience and would hate to get DQ'q because I am straight. Even if I cant judge anything else worth a flip. lol. I doubt I'm any threat to the PGA players anytime soon. I'll probably end up in the last tour , Champions B I think when I finish Q school. Anyway, look forward to playing with everybody and wanted to ask.

It is obviously an issue with the top players if they were using it. Why should they have an unfair advantage?
People go back and review results and dq if necessary. It rarely happens because most here respect the fact not to do it however I am sure there is the odd mid table tour player that does.
With regards to yourself if you are shanking shots still you are probably fine but if you get reviewed and are found to have lots directly straight tee shots then you will be DqD like anyone else.
It is an issue and is well regarded as an issue and is rightfully scrutinised on this site for obvious integrity issues.
By straight shots it has to be pixel perfect to be deemed straight. 1 pixel out and it's fine

ok. I just played a round and I have a few that are dead on straight but for the most part they tend to be slightly slicing (to the right) but still in the red cone. Oh well, I shot a +10 on Son Gual Desert anyway. And that was my best round yet in Q school. lol. Guess I'll just let someone else determine if they think I'm doing something wrong. I don't want cheaters either so I have no problem with that. I guess I can see that if someone has picture perfect swings every time how that would be suspicious. Its so sensitive.

From what you are describing you Ave nothing to worry about

Just to let you know Shawn - if you spot anything like this they aren't keen on it in the forums until proven, they rather you email them at commish@tgctours.com (I think)

Oh, crap! Sorry man. I guess since I linked his detailed instructions full with pictures and his continually arguing for his case in the forum that it would be proof enough. Should I delete the post?
Can't figure out how to delete it.
