New fantasy course:
MUSK'S MISSION TO MARS
Very definitely not a TGC approved track.
Message to new arrivals:
Welcome to the red planet ! You've embarked on the ultimate mission for mankind. We have a chance to further the human race by building a society here on Mars. Together we will create a future for generations of humans to come!
Elon would like to personally thank you for your sacrifice. It takes a special person to dedicate the rest of their life while leaving the comforts of earth behind.
Soon you will begin your new work assignment with Terra Forming Team 420. But for these first few days of orientation, we have some enjoyable activities planned to help you acclimate.
Today you'll have the pleasure of playing Red Planet Country Club. This unique property was started by some of the early settlers of Terra Team 19.
Red Planet CC is not only the first golf facility off Earth, but also has the distinction of being the first design to be completely made from Artificial Intelligence.
Course Notes:
1. To make play possible, a network of "gravity induction" towers are utilized throughout the property. Golfers will find the atmosphere to be mostly hospitable and a fair approximation to that on earth.
2. Plants and grass are especially difficult to grow and as such are used very sparingly. All of what you see has been nutured in our lab, genetically optimized, and transplanted. At some point in your round it's likely your ball will come to rest in either the "blood red" or "black eclipse" crushed rock - these are used quite liberally as they are abundant in this valley.
3. Elevated tees- due to radiation exposure, all humans are required to wear special golf skin suits. These suits are quite comfortable and only slightly restrictive to your swing. The AI has compensated for any loss of distance by making the majority of tees play from great height. You'll need big drives on this 7978 yard track!
4. Two for the price of one - a typical day of golf here is 2 rounds of golf. There are two sets of tees, Black and Red. These tees create wildly different angles and challenges on each hole, but both total the same yardage.
5. Pits of Despair - avoid these at all costs. Many of these pits were part of the land before we started plotting the golf course. No one is really sure what is at the bottom of them. We strongly recommend keeping your distance.
6. Multiple choices - on many holes you'll have to choose between different paths to the green. We don't have caddies on Mars, so take you time before each tee shot and consider the best route. You will often have two or even three ways to travel.
7. Hand of God - the 12th hole features a large ramp structure that can funnel a well placed tee shot the entire 450+ yards onto the green. This is part of the old boulder sorting convertor system that our early Mars teams used to Terraform. Now coined "The Hand of God", this large structure has 5 fingers which each will deliver your ball to a different section of the green.
Easter Eggs:
Tesla logo
SpaceX logo
Tesla factory
ICE car dump and grave yard
Terraform towers and Boulder farms
