After a little break from designing, I decided to go back to what I'm best at - simple country club style golf courses. This one, Simsbury Downs CC, is located near Hartford, CT (Simsbury is a real town in CT). I originally wanted to design a Harvest course because that was the only theme I haven't designed in, but the trees are just too bright, and I used a lot of auto-gen trees in order to keep the object count down.
The course itself is fairly straight forward. Hit the fairways and the greens and you'll score fine. The fairways are a bit narrow, and there are quite a few holes where working the ball is the best play (mostly draws, but a few fades too). There is plenty of trouble out there though. Water is in play on 11 holes, and if you hit a bad enough shot, you might find some OB. The greens are firm and fast, and a solid defense for the course.
Enjoy!

Just like in real life I'm deadly on the green inside a foot. I left plenty out there, with so many lip-outs. Fast sloping greens frighten me! This was certainly the defence of the course. The secret is just chip-in like the eagle on 2. I left the third dead in the jaws, lipped out on 6. When I hit my 3H into 7 I though I was going to get lucky but it rolled right by. Had a ghost putt on 9 that broke up hill. My chip bounced off the pin on 12, lipped out a 5 footer on 13. Hitting my drives pure all day until I get to the 18th. Of course water right means red slow for a horrible double. Really lovely course. Pinched fairways at the right length, great bunkering, lovely planting. The clubhouse looks fantastic with a water feature out the front i.imgur.com/i906tDV.jpgGreat lighting with the sun reflecting off the creeks i.imgur.com/WskEuu1.jpgLooks like a rough area though with all the tyres slashed in the carpark i.imgur.com/4emcNpw.jpg ;-)
