I think there are valid cases both ways for 1-2 vs. 1a-1b top tours. Thinking of my own position (69 WGR) I could be either left battling the top 50 players every week and struggling to make cuts with a 1-2 scenario. People in that position would likely think of moving to 2 and have much better chances of competing. With a 1a-1b like now the top 50 are more spread, it fluctuates week to week and I feel there is a much better chance of a top 10 or 25 finish. The 1a-1b also creates more "buzz" when they join together for majors and other invite events.
Guess I am saying I like it the way it is now but would find fun either way.

Or maybe this is just a better parallel universe where the Euro tour is rightfully stronger - the BMW masters is bigger than the PGA and the finals of the race to Dubai is the pinnacle of the golfing year... ;-) Again, going by current WGRs there's a case for this happening. So maybe these pga card holders are the ones leaving ranking points on the table? Not once the 'closed' tournaments happen. FedEx cup is 4 tournaments alone. I'm not expecting to change anyone's mind. What I'm expecting is, by the end of the season, there will be Euro tour guys that get 'passed' in wgr by pga tour guys. They will look at how it happened, and realized that in order to give themselves the best, and most, opportunities for wgr points, they will have to compete in pga tour events as members of the PGA tour.

How can you even say the BMW Masters is bigger than the first Major of the year? And the Race to Dubai is most definitely not the pinnacle of the golfing year. I thought the first and only major of the year was the Open Championship?

I normally plan my schedule around events that i no and love in real life but now theres no point. Damn wish i new this at the start!! Yep that is why I never had any reason to cross over, my goal is to make the final tourney in the Fed Ex cup and top 20 finish at the end of the year. Just like the real pros, the PGA card top guys rarely cross over but the top Euro Players do all the time. Evidently they are actually on the PGA Tour instead of Euro, most of them have a house in Florida, USA, lol. I guess it just means more to them to win on the PGA, but it could be the amount of money the sponsor fools over here give out on the PGA Tour. Not to mention all 4 majors are a part of our PGA Tour. Now I admit I don't know much about the Euro Tour really, it just has never really come up over here on ESPN and such. Now I watch the heck out of F1, Rally and MXGP, , but golf, never see it unless it is the British Open over here.
