KeithRhebb's also shares fairly regular construction updates on his twitter and Instagram feeds. I know we say it about everything Keiser related...but OMG this looks so good.

beautiful - interesting they're really expanding the Cabot brand beyond the original Cabot-specific location - to the new Revelstoke development, too.
I wonder why they branded Sand Valley separately.

The placement of 16 green/17 tee/17 green/18 green are almost too much to believe. That trek from 17 tee to green looks, at best, dangerous.

The hole stretch from 15 thru 18 looks amazing. Back to back ocean par-3s is a bit of a surprise too. Looks like they play about 120-yds(16) and 170-yds(17) in different directions which is neat.

Wow take a look at that routing. 11 hole stretch of no par-5's. I love these courses that really just use the land and don't try too hard to force certain holes in just because they "need a par-5 here." I think the alternate tee box on 16 was a really interesting idea too. Turns the green about 90 degrees. This is a fun one for architect and especially routing nerds for sure.

For anybody who think the par of holes matters...check out The Old Course scorecard. Just build what the land gives you...

For anybody who think the par of holes matters...check out The Old Course scorecard. Just build what the land gives you... I mean to be fair though The Old Course can get away with anything because it's The Old Course. 😉 You could probably say that about a lot of other places too by the way (Augusta, Pine Valley, NGLA, Cypress, Sand Hills). I know you're saying that with tongue in cheek but I think we can still take something from that. I think it proves that there is more unconventionality out there than we might realize realize. It also proves that quirks and awkwardness is needed and can be embraced if done well (pardon the cliche) to make the course stand out from the rest. I just read Tom Doak say that when Old Tom Morris set up the Old Course (as we know it today), the only reason he made it 18 holes is because that's what the land gave him and it ended up that way randomly. Can you imagine if when he finished it came out to 16 or 19 or even 24 holes?! Just fun to think about.
