First, for all the routing nerds, here is your obligatory shot: Mapu Rupanco, which loosely translates to "Land of the Flowing Water", is located in the south central area of Chile known as the Lakes District. This area of Chile is home to many unique geographic features including (duh) lakes, ocean fronts, and volcanos. The flora is a wide mix of deciduous and coniferous trees including the Araucaria tree which I have attempted to emulate. Mapu Rupanco is a par 72 course coming in just under 7200 yards from the tips. Most fairways are generously wide and offer many avenues into the greens which tend to be large, well protected, and undulating. The front nine plays up and around the foothills of the Andes mountains while the back nine swings around along the coast of the Pacific ocean. The prevailing winds in the area are Northeast and tend to blow at a Medium to High speed. Green speeds are set to 175 on default but the course should play well under all conditions. The best lighting is either Morning (not Dawn) with the sun rising over the mountains or Afternoon/Evening/Dusk (Dusk is default) with the sun setting across the ocean. This is my second full 18 hole publish after Crooked Arrow and though there is plenty of room for improvement, my hope is to showcase my development over the past seven months. Enjoy your round and please, spare no feelings with your critiques.

Gorgeous round here! Great environment, definitely felt like a South American oscenside. Good work on the custom trees. I walso was throwing darts for some reason this round including a canned pitch on 13 for 2 and overall a -10. SO thank you for the ego boost even if it's temporary!

All around solid course. The planting was on point, the routing was clever, the sculpting was well done, and the detail of off-course stuff was great. Overall, it was a really fun and impressive entry. Well done sir!

Have only played the front 9 so far, but beautiful course. Wondering if anyone else has gotten some lag with all of the waterfalls on the screen ? Its not bad but enough that my swing tempo seems off. I will finish the course later. Thanks for making this beauty though as it is really well done.

Congrats Jayray. I caught a bit of your stream a few weeks back and you still had tonnes to do. The progress you made in a short period of time was really admirable and the off course details etc were definitely not neglected and looked great. I thought the planting was really well done too and I definitely enjoyed my round. Congrats again sir. P.S. hoosier404 - No lag for me but I'm on pc

Just finished my round here, and before I comment on anything I must say how much I enjoyed your sketches and plans of this course! Some really quite gorgeous works of art there.
There are definitely Mackenzie vibes throughout this, which I’m sure you said you were aiming for. The large runoff areas in particular felt very Augusta style and I enjoyed that a lot. I also really enjoyed the routing, particularly returning to the mountainous area for the last few holes.
To me, the planting felt like it lacked polish in places. I loved the custom trees, it just felt somewhat empty in spots - particularly immediately behind the tree line towards the mountains. I thought some greenery in there would have been useful.
I had a weird round here. I couldn’t string two good shots together in a row, and struggled my way to -1 (although I did take an unplayable on 12 because I wasn’t happy with missing that green) with 4 birdies and an eagle. I felt like it could have been much better, as I missed plenty of short putts and even more greens with wedges in my hand, but I also enjoyed having to think about my longer shots into the greens.
I loved the view of the clubhouse from the 6th green. Being able to see the whole way across the course was lovely, really took some of the sting out of that bogey! Then to follow up, I think 9 was my favourite hole. A lovely sight line all the way down the course, over the lake and clubhouse out to the ocean. It helps that I hit a magnificent second shot to about three feet for my eagle.
10 enticed me to go for it with a favourable wind, and I made birdie from the sand. Maybe the water could have been slightly more of a threat - you could have run fairway down to it, like 15 at Augusta? I feel like there’s not a lot to lose with blasting at the green as it currently is.
I think the greens got more interesting as the round progressed. 17 was certainly a challenge that I failed to overcome, but I have no complaints about any of the green sites at all.
Finally, the waterfalls looked a bit awkward. The flowing water just abruptly begins - maybe try to hide that with rocks and so on a little more in the future, or even shrink it right down so that only the vertical part is really visible.
Overall a course you can certainly be proud of and I very much enjoyed playing. Thanks!

Really lovely course. I played with default conditions and had a moderate wind which made club selection and angles challenging. The elevation changes are very entertaining and with the right wind gave a good risk/reward on certain holes. I left one in the bunker on 16 when I short sided myself and it was the only blemish on the card. The planting was done very well and I liked the routing with a mix of coastal and mountain holes. Off course it's a substantial clubhouse hotel complex and a great little fishing village.
