NOTE: Please do not post on rounds that have not been revealed on the leaderboard. Moderating is in effect and they will be removed. Please use the Locker Room threads to discuss rounds not revealed. Thanks! The Press Tent will be a feature on TGC Tours where you can come in after a round or tournament and answer some questions from the press. You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Reminder: Please include your leaderboard name in your post or in the Tour Name portion of your forum profile so that our reporters can make the connection between your Press Tent posts and your leaderboard names. Thx! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
- Ask your own question and answer it!

Hey, did we just read the leader board correctly, did you just shoot at 54 (-18)?
Yeah, I think that just happened. I'm still in a bit of a daze. To be honest.
Can you walk us through this record setting round?
Honestly there isn't much to say. In my previous two rounds I was probably 90% hitting the greens in regulation, but the putting is so tough here I just lipped out a LOT of putts. I think in the first round I had 8 birdies and another 8 putts that just lipped out. In this round, those putts went in. I missed one putt for birdie in 18 holes and that was on #12, but I made up for it with an eagle on #2.
This certainly moved you up the leader board you were 59th at the end of the second round, now you are up to a tie for 11th.
Yeah, well a round of 54 will do that. I had been playing with Doyley the last two rounds and he had been schooling me, I even witnessed him make a hole-in-one and an eagle from the fairway. I came into the third round 6 or 7 shots behind. The wind was absolutely perfect. About 8-12 mph but it was blowing in such a way you could go for 3 of the par 5s. Everything after the eagle at #2 just clicked into place.
5 strokes off the lead, do you think you have a chance to close this tournament out with a win?
If I shoot another 54, I can win, but I don't think that is going to happen. This is the type of round that comes around once in a blue moon. The greens out there are just too difficult to make every putt you attempt and with the course drying out a bit, you can't stick your shots like you could. Right now a top 20 would make me happy, considering my first two rounds.
Well congratulations on your record for the course and good luck on your next round.
Thank you very much.
