I'm assuming this is your NT entry?!?! Either way, I was confused when I saw your name as the designer, but didn't hate life because of brutal pin placements! Seriously though, I really enjoyed these greens, and your attack paths for each hole worked well with the green undulations. I am not familiar with the area you were going for, but I enjoyed the environment none-the-less. Great job sir!

Thought I’d go for something different with the greens - glad to have pulled it off and really happy that you liked it. This is my NT entry loosely based on Lofoten but really trying to hammer the Norway factor with Viking theming.

This was cool. Have no clue how to say the name but the environment was good. Liked the fairways and greens, played well. Couple of spots where the planting between tee and fairway obscured the sight line, but not horrid. Not 100% sure how I feel about the rocks, but that’s more a personal thing I think. Well done!

Very interesting hole designs and super unique enviornment. I do wish some of the tees were either raised or the planting dropped a little because some of the cool views were blocked. Looks like you accomplished what you were going for which is awesome! Eventhough I have no idea where to start with audible vocal sounds to say the name of this course lol

Please forgive what may be a silly question. But what the heck do I type in to search for this course to try it out? :-)

Goodness knows how to pronounce it, but I’ve just finished my round at this course in my quest to play all the NT entries. Somehow you nailed the Scandinavian feel - it felt like a cold evening in the midnight sun, golf course all to myself in the middle of nowhere and I really liked that.
Quite an easy layout - I shot -10 and left a couple out there too, but thoroughly enjoyed throwing darts. Even ruined my card with a bogey on 15 and a few missed short putts.
In terms of the environment, I think you did a good job. The planting was a bit repetitive - rocks could have been scaled, rotated and buried more to increase the variety instead of looking like the same one over and over, but I loved the open feel and long sight lines across the whole course.
My favourite hole was 7 - I love a short par 4. However, I went for the green and came up short, but wasn’t really punished for it. Bring the water right in, make it a gamble to go for the green! I actually felt the same about all three par five holes too; there was virtually no reason to not go for the green in two. I think the course could benefit from another tee box, lengthening most holes and bringing more decision making into play. I think 18 was the best hole on the course - well sculpted and a nice view, and I really felt like I earned my birdie there with three good shots.
I liked the routing. Seeing the 8th green island while playing 17 was really cool, and you brought some lovely views into play particularly closer to the ocean.
The tree line was probably too thin - it looked like you hadn’t planted behind the row on the course boundary, making it feel a little unrealistic, but I don’t know how you were doing for object meter or time.
Overall, I enjoyed my round here. Hole designs were solid and interesting, and it was an environment unlike many I’ve ever seen before. Good job, and thanks for the round!

Really enjoyed the course with it's wide open feel. The planting of all the rocks looks great at a distance, but as you get closer some stick out (and up) a little too much. You really note it when they show the pre tee off routine and there are rocks behind you. Some great risk/reward and I went for it on all the holes that I could. The sightlines are really good and without huge elevation changes you can see a lot of the course at once. Only 1 tee box? The cart path in front of the 4th tee is a little wonky. Just missed my long eagle putt on 7 for a tap in birdy. On 9 I'm glad I had a tail wind, not sure I could have got over into the same headwind. The clubhouse is cool with the bushes growing out of it and a lovely decking surrounding it. The planting between fairways is very nice as well with the mulch and rocks and bushes. I did notice a rock in the bridge on the 8th. There were a few bunkers that were shaped as Viking symbols. I had a look from the plot above but couldn't see the symbolism. Enjoyed my round and gave it 5 stars. i.imgur.com/h5KnQSi.jpgi.imgur.com/B4VbTMv.jpgi.imgur.com/74eJlJ3.jpg
