Welcome to Blindbeard Beach! This course was inspired by Cape Cod, and is theoretically based there. At under 6,600 yards it won't beat you over the head with difficulty, but with the stiff sea breeze and small, sloped greens, it won't be a pushover. I recommend setting everything to very firm, setting the wind to the highest setting, and picking an eastern wind. That's what I had in mind. Holes of note include the second, a Gibraltar rendition; the eighth, a double dogleg par 5 through forest to a green in a saddle (inspired by the sixth at George Wright); the tenth through twelfth, which run along the beach (the eleventh is my favorite); the fourteenth, a long par 4 playing to a sloped fairway with a second shot to a green perched precariously over a valley; the sixteenth, a short par 5 that reemerges into open terrain and features a couple of visually deceptive bunkers; and of course the concluding holes, both of which return to the beach. This isn't my first golf course, but it is the first time I've gotten serious with the planting, and obviously it's the first time I've shamelessly self-promoted. Hey, designing golf courses is its own reward, but after 2 months of effort, it would be nice to get over 50 plays. Anyway, here's some pictures (I hope) to whet your appetite for the best golf course named after an obscure Spongebob reference and a geographic feature you've played today.

Excellent course, a lot of fun to play with some tough greens. The time you spent on the planting definitely paid off. Very well done!
