Thank you to the volunteer reviewers who approved my course, Cherry Valley Club (L) - a LIDAR of this real private course in Garden City, Long Island, NY. The screenshots below are all by them - thank you! As the son of Members (dad was club president) and as a caddy there from middle school summers through college from 1987 to 1997, this was truly a labor of love for me. This inland links / heathland style course has dramatically changed over its century plus of life (founded 1916). It lost most of its trees to Superstorm Sandy and other hurricanes / storms. I restored many of these trees; they help delineate the holes (and shade is VERY important to a caddy!), while also retaining many of the modern changes to the course. The Blue tees, #3 pins, medium to high wind are the best representation of a weekend round at CVC. The #4 pins are more of a... club championship Sunday feel. And yes, the course is in the final landing approach for JFK, hence the jet overhead. Hope folks enjoy playing it half as much as I enjoyed making it and bringing back fond memories of youth and my late father. Feedback welcome on playability / experience.
