90%'s plagued me. Of course they only happened on holes with water, so naturally splash. Yes, I was swinging with what should have been 100%. Could not put up a competitive score. This one hurts a lot

I just finished my 1st round and must admit, i'm getting pretty pi$$ed off with this game (not tgctours may I add, before you guys jump down my throat!). Was rolling along fine -4 after 6 or 7 holes... then the dreaded 90 odd% shots kick in leading to shots in the water & double bogeys! Also, I'm finding when I hit the odd shot off the tee, that the ball is veering massively to either the left or right, even though the swing is fine. Really is starting to bug me, especially as I really enjoy the competitive nature of the tourneys.. but these bugs/glitches/whatever makes me feel that I will never be able to compete properly. Rant over. 71(-1)

As I wrote in the other thread, I had only one target this week: MAKE THAT CUT!
All of my practice rounds where from -4 to -8, just couldn't get any lower. Seeing others score -14 and -15 or so on this wonderful course left me with not much confidence for this week, but that's the way it goes. So I went into my rounds a couple of hours ago, trying to take advantage of the low winds on the course - at least.
And well... I did.
Shot a 62 (-10) in R1, followed by a fantastic (for me) round of 60 (-12) in R2. And honestly, it wasn't the low wind. The big difference this time was simply the fact that I putted way better then the last couple of weeks. Scores can go so low when you start to make some putts that are not just tap-in's.
So instead of just making the cut with -22 (should be enough I hope), I'm now somewhere near the Top10 I'd say. I'm really happy with that, and I hope I can perform nearly as good as I did in my first two rounds when I start to play R3/R4.

66-62-62-64 – 34 under total Round 1 – 3 putt bogey to start, eagled both Par 5’s on the front 9 to get to -5 at the turn. Back 9 was spoilt by two 93% shots that would happen on approaches where short meant wet, bogey @ 10 and double @ 15. Had to birdie 17 & 18 to make 66 Round 2 –Holes out at No 2 for Eagle. Solid round from there except another bogey @ 10 Round 3 – Bogey free, 8 birdies and an eagle. Solid Round 4 – Missed a few putts, had a couple of 93%ers and only managed 64.
I had two targets this week after my Masters Debacle 1/ Make the cut and 2/ Get back inside the top 64 on the WGR if possible. Think -16 will make it but highly doubt my finish will be enough to achieve number 2. Still, an improvement on recent weeks.

after the disappointment of missing my first cut at the greatest event of them all last week, i headed to china early knowing that i needed a solid performance to guarantee qualification to the WGC MATCH PLAY and managed to put together 3 solid rounds and one decent 58 (-14) to total -46 for the event, knowing that theres alot of big stars here this week i know im a few shots short but all in all pretty happy and hopefully can sneak another top ten.

63-59-63-60. Finished -44. Was pushing hard to catch the guy in front and made a couple of mistakes. Overall very happy with my scoring, finding a lot of consistency now. Good luck out there.

If you submit a score higher than an actual score, you get the submitted score. DQ only should come in if you submit a lower score. That's how 'real life' golf is at least, I'm assuming it's the same here.
