Just published the course I've been posting about in the under construction thread. Thanks so much, everyone, for your super useful advice and feedback! You can now check out Matinecock Golf Club. It's a 6,874 yard par 70, with 3 par fives and 5 par threes. There's two consecutive par 3's in 16 and 17, which was necessitated by the fact that I wanted to use as much of the shoreline as possible and had to bring the final two holes back to the clubhouse. There's also two drivable par 4s, so it should be a great matchplay course, even if it's not too over-the-top difficult. Below is the 16th, with the lighthouse, the background of the 15th, and the drivable 6th. I've been working really hard at the various grasses to simulate the dunes you'll find on the East End of Long Island. Also, I definite took a few cues from TPetro's Potunk, so thanks man!

This was fun. Not overly difficult but not a pushover either. Definitely gave a good test. Loved the textures and environment. Nicely done!

This was a very good course, though I have to say the default green speeds (144) dont show off your greens at all! I stopped mid-round and started over on Fast greens (163) and enjoyed the fun slopes so much more!

I actually had them faster, and then moved the slower as I was afraid that they wouldn’t hold and would be too frustrating. Glad you liked it otherwise though!

Man, three tour worthy courses in the month of February, and you're a rookie designer??? Very impressive bud, looking forward to checking this one out later. I still have Wincoma in my top three for the month. Just need to play all of the courses that came out last week. I'l let you know what I think of this one after I play it later.

Another very well designed course. Honestly liked Wincoma and Sebonac Pines more than this one, but this is another excellent course with a lot of great golf holes. I played pin position 1 and I'm not sure if some of those pin locations would be fair on the higher green speeds, probably why you dialed the greens back so much. Other than that nothing to really complain about. You pulled off the look you were going for. Excellent sight lines throughout the course. Fairways and greens were well done. I think a good suggestion is to test the greens at 8.5/187 speed, maxed out. If all of the pins are good or at least barely legal for the tougher pins then it's good. You can dial them back from there as much or as little as you want. Common for the greens to change speeds throughout tournaments at least on the CC-tour. You're going to continue making tour worthy courses so something to think about for a course to host a tournament. Keep up the impressive work, I like your style.
