Were the official licensed RCR courses featured in the game derived from active participants on this forum? Based on what I could find in the TGCT database and this Completed Courses thread I have a list, most of which feature Doyley as the designer and a few others.
Does this look correct and anyone know who designed Atlantic Beach Country and TPC River Highlands
Atlantic Beach Country Club USA - designer unknown Copperhead Course at Innisbrook USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
East Lake Golf Club USA - Brandon Pugh [friendBOMBER]
Quail Hollow Club USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
Riveria Country Club USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Boston USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Deere Run USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Louisiana USA - Konsta Kokkenen [palo]
TPC River Highlands USA - designer unknown TPC San Antonio USA - Anders Mathisen [andersnm]
TPC Sawgrass USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Scottsdale USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Southwind USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Summerlin USA - Scott Doyley [Doyley]
TPC Twin Cities USA T
Thanks

I assume the official RCR courses are given those designer names in the database as those were the folks that added them to the database, not actually designed them. I also think some designers did their own versions of official RCR courses, so that might be the case here, too.
I thought that 2K/HB scanned the official courses themselves and built them on their own.

I guess Detroit is a good example. clv created the North and South and a Mortgage Classic composite and the officially licensed version of Detroit is quote different... not in a good way though! However this is different for the official fictional courses in Career Mode isn't it? HB Studios I suspect asked the designer if they could be included and probably a small payment also for their efforts.

All the RCRs were HB themselves - but if they are used here in a tour event, they have to be in the TGCT database - so Doyley puts them in (hence him being credited as designer - a dubious honour given how poor some of them are ) The ones you have named (eg East Lake by friendbomber - Brandon Pugh) are nothing like the official versions..... The fictional courses are mostly (all?) from designers on these boards

Quail hollow And Copperhead i am convinced were Acer's r wild courses from tgc2019 placed in the new engine with some custom stuff added.
i feel the same with TPC Louisiana as well.....Little bit cheeky there from HB but i suppose when you sign up they can do anything with the courses.
I think only East lake, Riveria ,San Antonio, Detroit (i think there's one more which were scanned for 2k21).
