wow, I was not expecting this to work as well as it did. not sure if white sand bunkers on top of black lava rock makes much sense but I dont think I ended up caring, this is a nice course! never expected a roughless course would work in this setting!
My only critiques mainly revolve around how the greens are pretty flat for their size, you couldve been a bit more adventurous with their slopes considering their size. Also the "lava rock" is a little awkwardly sculpted in places but overall looks decent!
I still can see a marked improvement here over your sculpting on Whisper dunes and Scarlett dunes. This is by far your best course yet!

Just finished a round at Black Lava Cove and really enjoyed it. Great fun layout, I’m not normally a fan of double greens but really like how 12 and 17 worked together. Like Q I though the sculpting of some of the lava could of been a bit smoother but I can see the look you were going for.
I will be using this course as inspiration as I’m currently building a rough less course ( Peninsula Dunes WIP ) if you want to check it out.
Great work thanks for the course

Really enjoyed this great layout.Gave it 5 Stars and added to favorites. It is very refreshing to find a course with a slightly different look that helps separate it from the multitude of great courses that are available.I appreciated the fair greens and generous fairways. The length was the main test. Thanks for all the hard work.

This is cool and interesting. Fantastic style. Incorporating the dead trees was a nice touch as well.

Gave this a play and just really creative concept executed beautifully. The black mulch as dried lava was such a brilliant move and going roughless worked well. And the subtle planting of grasses ferns and dead trees was done great. Loves the little rock paths.
My only major critiques is as Q mentioned above the Greens but also the fairways could use more scuplting. They were very flat and with the areas around them having undulating dunes it's didn't quite make sense. Also would give the player a bit more to think about on their drives.
Other more minor critiques. On hole 13 you broguht a couple lava dunes in the middle of the fairway and I felt this could have been done one more time on the front nine.
Hole 15 the little sliver of lava and planting breaking the fairway looked a bit like an afterthought, wasn't as organic feeling as other times this is done.
I would have liked to see you take on a custom club hosue with this unique location. I just saw a couple smaller buildings placed and not much in sight.

Awesome course. Shooting my best round on the game at that. Definitely giving this some more spins.

Awesome design, very cool idea that you executed very well. Golf course is a lot of fun to play and I agree that you could've pushed the greens a bit more, but that doesn't take too much away from how great the course is. Would be surprised if this doesn't get a CC tour spot in the near future.

Loved the concept, with similar sentiments as others when it comes to greens and a few patches of "lava" in random spots. Good job overall and congrats on the TW status!

I played this today as a ranger and really enjoyed my round. I also had the idea of using the black mulch as lava, but never got round to making it. I thought you did I very good job of translating your vision into a very playable course. Thank you for making it.

Very interesting concept. Did you try to bury the water effect that promotes a "steam" look??? That would of been a cool addition to a really fun course.
