Apologies to the designer but I'm taking the liberty to post on their behalf here because I just played The Roxburghe [Lidar], an inland Scottish course I came across by chance.
Was checking out the TGCT database for recently approved courses and came across this little gem.
Not a difficult layout but the aesthetic based on the standard x3 photos was too good to pass up.
The elevation changes and greens that were set a little above 8 from memory were the highlight. A great putting challenge! Love it when the ball runs out to the hole. It felt very authentic.
Beautifully presented course and the short 5 (??) and medium length par 4 (??) along the river towards the viaduct were favourites.
Was also interesting to play a Scottish course that was not seaside and links. Although I had read the blurb in the dbase I kept thinking the entire round I was in the States somewhere.
There is a tourney version also.
Hopefully others will enjoy a round at the The Roxburghe!
