Greetings All,
I have just published a fictional tropical theme course in 2K21 called Keeling Islands Resort. This is the sister course to my very first course published in TGC2 and TGC2019 called Cocos Islands Resort. The Cocos (Keeling) Islands are an Australian territory located in the Indian Ocean between Australia and Indonesia, although somewhat closer to Indonesia. In reality this atoll of small islands currently hosts a nine hole course, and even then a couple of holes play across the international airport runway!

Brief Description of Keeling Islands Resort
This resort island boasts beautiful beaches, an 18 hole championship golf course, tennis courts, indoor pools and spas. The scuba diving and deep sea fishing around the island is pretty crash hot too!
The Par 72 course length from the blue pro tees is 6563 metres. Some players from these tees may struggle to reach the green in two on Par 5 holes 9 and 12. From the front tees the greens on the shorter Par 4 holes 7 and 11 can be driven in favourable conditions. The course architect did not route any of the Par 3 holes to be uphill, which is a little bit disappointing as I always enjoy the difference of a well designed uphill Par 3. I must have a word with him.
Fairways are medium firmness and most medium width in the driving area and well bunkered. There are four tee shots that must be played over water with the option on another two. Elevation changes present a fairly even mix of down hill and uphill shots with nothing too severe. Greens on the course are medium to large and some are multi-tiered, with the 5th Hole having the largest green with a significantly elevated back tier. Green speed is medium-fast.
As with the Pinnacles GC, overall the course is not too difficult in low to medium winds, and there is nothing too crazy on the greens. Enjoy your round and the nice tropical scenery!
Below is the distances table and some pics captured from the course drone at different times of the day. Enjoy!
The marketing cover pic is Hole 7 Par 4 taken at sunrise.
Distances in Metres
Hole 1 Par 4 - the low rise time share accommodation runs along the left side of the fairway, with the large hotels behind further left. In the distance behind the green to the left of the channel to the ocean is Little Diamond Head, and to the right is Little K island. The elevated 2nd tee can also be seen in the back ground slightly left of centre.
Hole 2 Par 3 - this picturesque par 3 with a tee off over water can provide challenges to land it near the pin if the wind is not favourable.
Hole 3 Par 5 - this longer Par 5 is sometimes a struggle to reach the green in 2 from the blue Pro tees without a tail wind.
Hole 5 Par 4 - the two tiered forked fairway invites reward of a better look at the green to the player choosing to drive the higher narrow left fork.
Hole 6 Par 3 - plays across a significant ocean ravine with the green about 5m to 10m below the tee. The rugged ravine land area around the hole is OB.
Hole 9 Par 5 - this dog-leg left par 5 is made longer because it is predominantly uphill, making its way back to the clubhouse.
Hole 11 Par 4 - from the front red tees, this short par 4 can be driven in favourable winds, but given the green's narrow proximity to the water there better be a plan to stop safely. In this pic the tee is back across the small bay in line with the tallest hotel.
Little Beach - located across the bridge between holes 12 and 13, this gorgeous little spot with a couple of huts is ideal to have breakfast and watch the sunrise before heading out for a day of deep sea fishing.
Hole 13 Par 3 - what another downhill par 3 over water? If you're coming to this island to play golf you must like ocean views - right? At least they all have their own unique character and vibe.
Hole 16 Par 3 - say no more, this designer pays homage to one of the most famous par 3 holes in golf on a course that needs no introduction.
Hole 17 Par 4 - Inspired by the Par 5 4th hole at Joondalup Golf Resort in Perth Australia (designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr), which dog-legs left then right around a large bunker known locally as Cottelsoe beach, this par 4 can be a bit testy and the green requires accuracy on the approach.
Hole 18 Par 4 - the picturesque 18th green brings with it the promise of relaxing chairs, drinks and stories with friends at the 19th hole sprig bar.
