I really loved this course- everything (golf layout/strategy, immersion, aesthetic) were all on point here. Very memorable and unique. Thank you for the design! ETA- I was like a cat with a laser beam on those waves throughout the round, the waves worked visually from a distance- as long as you didn't zoom in on them... paging Dr. mayday_golf83 A Carolina low country course w/o any "extracurriculars" written in sand? Color me intrigued. Please do tell more about "extracurriculars" - maybe next time!

Looks awesome!! I have been working on a Carolina style course that is quite similar to this as well. You beat me to it! Great! I'd love to see it and hope it's even better...

Quick question on designing, how did you get the transition from beach to ocean/water to not have the several feet of rough between them? Good question - I chose Tropical in large part because the dirt surface has the lighter color, even though I knew it wouldn't have the trees I wanted. I just lowered it enough to turn from rough into the dirt. Then I just dragged the bunker spline over the water, and it took the sand pretty close. Then I wanted to cover more of the line with the low waterfalls as if it were surf running up onto the sand (and in reverse running off the sand), but the waterfalls are such meter hogs that I could only do some. I couldn't figure out the double water plot thing that some people have used, but thought this worked okay enough.

As a MacRaynor fanboy from NC, this course blew me away! Strategy/layout/routing were excellent. Really captured the Carolina element, and I have To say, at first after zooming in and focusing on the waves i didn’t like them at all. But after playing a few holes and not zooming in/focusing on them, the waves really grew on me and started to look natural in the background. I will Absolutely be playing this course a bunch and hope to see it on tour soon

If anyone is interested, Carolina Queen is now approved for Tour, so I hope someone will pick it up and enjoy it. I'd love to get feedback on how it plays in a tournament so I can use that for my third course and improve. Okay, that's my last bit of self-promotion. So many good courses coming out worthy of exposure and plays that I don't want to bump myself (though more feedback from others is helpful to learn). Kind of a gold rush, really. Hey, there's a theme

playgroundhoo. An absolute masterpiece , playability, visually and aesthetically very pleasing all round . A real challenge of strategy and tricky approaches and greens . I honestly want to go play again straight away to better and improve on what i did first time . That, for me is what makes a great course . Bravo sir , would certainly be looking forward to this one on Tour or Societies soon !!

Enjoy and happy for any feedback. Also still curious about those "extracurriculars"...
Great work on your Merced Municipal btw...the tree work was impressive given the lack of cypress you really needed...

Enjoy and happy for any feedback. Also still curious about those "extracurriculars"... There was a course published a little while back that had a slur planted into the landscaping on the outer parts of the course. That's all I'll say.

Ill elaborate, it was disgusting and the designer is a child! That's all I'll say

I'm really liking the look of the wild greens on this bad boy... Cool, hope you enjoyed it! Yeah if one can look ahead and hit to the flag in a planned way, they should be quite fair with a little challenge. And hopefully folks can have some fun playing a few banks and in general with any style.

playgroundhoo Played a round on the Queen last night and enjoyed the challenge and the scenery. I took your advice from the course intro and had some fun with the right hand bank on 12 - just missed out on a hole in one rolling down! Great improvisation using waterfalls as waves! These were really visible from 14 and 15 - very clever. I managed +1 on Beer League settings - thanks for your work making the course. Look forward to your next one.

Missed this on publish, but glad I got a second bite at it - a really fun course that had a lot of interesting shots that stuck with me after the round. Look forward to seeing where you go from here.
