I have recently uploaded this layout and submitted it for approval (fingers crossed!)
The Vulcan Course is a mountainside course built on the slopes of the world's most infamous volcano, Mt. Vesuvius. 5 sets of tees and 4 pin placements offer challenge and playability on a rugged layout with large elevation changes. The 1st hole is a par 6 stretching to 966 yards from the tips. It plays straight down the mountain, and is intended to get the player off to a running start, while introducing the character of the entire course. A restored aqueduct brings fresh water down the slopes along the right side of the hole drops in to the partially excavated ruins of Pompeii. The aqueduct threads its way throughout the entire course, and offers spectacular views and vistas. The routing eventually climbs back up to the cone, finishing with a dramatic horseshoe shaped par 5 18th hole, which wraps its way around the caldera rim. The large elevation changes throughout will require extra thought on club selection, but the generous fairways will offer plenty of options for playing appropriate angles into the challenging greens.
I hope you all enjoy playing this course as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Hi David, I walked up Vesuvius just over a year ago so I just played a round here for the memories! I'm sure there are one or two technical imperfections but I had a lot of fun, thanks! PS - why doesn't the plane move?!
