The course plays 7402 yards from the Black tee. It features wide yet wild sloping fairways, tricky greens and dangerous bunkers.
Greens are designed to be played at 140 (members) to 165 (championship).
Welcome to Broadleaf, hope you enjoy your round!

That logo is awesome. Digging the slopes and mounding too. Will give this a play later today for sure.

Very unique feel to this course. Definitely got the rugged undulating stuff going on. I feel it got too crazy in spots though. I think the whole course could have done with a couple touches of flatten and then it would have been perfect for the theme you were going for. I'm glad you continued the undulations on the greens as well, made for some really interesting and fun shots/decisions but again I think it could have just used a touch or two of smoothing overall to mellow the slopes a tad. Loved the bunkers overall, very unique in themselves and the sculpting around them for the most part was fantastic.

I understand that the greens and the course could be seen as a tad extreme by modern standards, but it's the way I intended it to be. I'm a bit sad that too many of today's modern designs have greens that are too fast to allow for more slope. Listening to Pete Dye this was one of the things he wished designers would change in the future. - Going back to slower playing surfaces (stimpmeter around 7-8) that allow more movement and require less maintenance. I completely understand what you mean and I appreciate your feedback! Thank you for playing! I'm going to post a video soon explaining the thoughts behind my designs and I hope that can bring something new and fun to this community! // Matt

I still enjoyed it. Just think a touch smoother would have made it even better. Very cool work man

Very cool work man I'm thinking of ways to spice up my courses but I'm not sure how much spice this design community can handle (jokes). I'm trying to learn how flat my greens/chipping areas play compared to something like this ->images below<- (without the green grid, which I think is flawed). I play on legend without the putting grids (feels more realistic) so I prefer greens where you can see the slopes without having the grids on. I want them to be very punishing from the wrong side of each pin (it should feel unfair) but yet forgiving if you hit it on a somewhat wrong line from the correct side with decent speed. My favorite greens in the game so far are on Black Salt Valley and Cypress Point Club. Do you know of any "wild" courses in the game like the examples below that I can learn from?

for wild but really well made greens try "Golden Isles Beach Club", craziest greens but very playable
you might also like courses like "LIDO" as you seem to like template courses

Q Lido is one of the coolest courses i have played in the game! Such a shame we won't get to play it IRL. I will check out Golden Isles Beach Club for sure.

Just played and love the aesthetic and lighting in this design. Perhaps a little dark in some spots but nothing major here to complain about. Every bunker was the same, i.e. small and circular but I actually liked it and it didn't detract from the enjoyment. in fact with the steep grass walls it provided some great excitement from the tee when I cleared some but then ended up in the grass wall or sides on others. Not overly penal but made me think before pulling the driver. You nailed the vineyard feel! Enjoyed the undulations on fairways and greens. Green speed was spot on for the contours. Very different feel to this course and the planting was great but would have liked to have seen a little more contrast in colour off the fairway, e.g. some lighter brown long grasses perhaps? Really solid effort and would happily play again. Think this would be great a matchplay course.

I actually designed this with alternate shot and match play in mind Just a fun little thing I wanted to try... thank you for playing
