OK, thanks. I don't really care about trees for this one since there weren't very many and I want to manually plant them.

OK, thanks. I don't really care about trees for this one since there weren't very many and I want to manually plant them. I hear that. I like to use lidar trees for at least one import so I get proper heights. And since buildings and power lines and fences and light poles all come in as lidar trees, it can be handy for getting a mental picture of the vertical space certain elements need to occupy.

Thanks for the offer, but I think that I'm all set. The lidar set that I'm using seems to be really hi resolution and that is critical for teasing out details from the lost course. Some of it is in people's yards, etc.
However, one strange issue that I ran into looks like a bug where all of the textures show up like fairway. i.e. the heavy rough loses its scruffiness and the rough loses its weird Rocket League grass appearance. If I rotate around and view it downlight, the textures pop into place.
Otherwise, it appears almost like TGC19 textures.
I'll pick a different blank course file and reload everything again b/c I made some OSM tweaks anyway.
