Stay and Play accommodations are now available for players at Puddle Jump Golf Club! Get away to the edges of nowhere and play all day. This is my 3rd design in 2k21 and was a ton of fun. I played a little with the tee manipulation on this to give some different looks to the tips and the 2nd longest tees, so they play somewhat evenly. I'm trying to get better with each course, so please any suggestions, guidance, or constructive criticism is more than welcome. Hopefully you'll give it a run and enjoy. Thanks! You have a gift for lighting and shadows man. These made the course for me a little more special. Even though my ball found the water more than I wanted it to, it was quite challenging and fun to play.
Notable Holes:
Hole 1: This hole has a beautiful back drop, that is complimented by small interconnected fairways through the water. This opening hole made me excited to play this course. After a good shot off the tee, I had a few branches to move around on my approach shot, but nothing troublesome. It's hard to keep your eyes off of this impressive hole when setting up the next shot though 😁. I made par.
Hole 3 :The shadowing is near perfect from the tea box. The wind will make it difficult for a good approach; it carried my that my ball just barely into the bunker on the right of the green. This was a fun par 3 and a favorite of mine on the course.
Hole 4: Some of my favorite holes are ones like these. A tee shot over the lake into a fairway that runs horizontally. I always like playing risky shots on these. The second shot ended up under the lip of the bunker, which if it happens to you, will make your third shot incredibly hard to pull off, walked away with bogey. Great bunker work around the green.
Hole 10: Two tong approach. You can hit it long down the left and be closer to the pin, but have less area to work with or use a hybrid/wood on the right and play it short. Playing it short will give you a nice landing strip and straight attack at the hole. The green is not overly hard to read, but there is a big dip towards the back end of the green, which can help your ball be fed towards the pin if you play it correctly. This is a nice hole to birdie
Hole 18: Multiple attack options of the tee that are all feasible shots, depending on pin location. Hit it wisely because you have quite a tight landing zone on the green. The second shot will most likely require a decent draw if your pin is on the left side of the green. I left mine to much to the right, which gave me a loooong down hill putt. The slope of the green is quite helpful when putting, so don't try to power this one in otherwise you will go straight off the green.
Other things:
Hole 17 has a weird drop on the cliff side if not hit properly off of the tee. It's doable to make it back on to the fairway from there, but it's awkward being on that cliff side.
Good work man, I hope to master lighting and shading like that if I ever decide to make a course. Thanks for the play.

Thanks for giving it a play volinvietnam Also, appreciate the detailed write up and glad you liked the look, you're too kind. On 17, what part of the cliff are you referring to, the right of the landing area, left of the bridge? Which tees did you play so i can guess around what area you mean? Btw the snorklers found your Titleist's and are willing to sell them back to you. Thanks again!

No problem man, it was a fun course to play. As in terms of the cliff, I think I was on the furthest back tees. The cliff ran on the right side and had the bridge on it's left? (I don't have the course in front of me so I can't be to certain). Though I do know it plopped in the drink on the right hand side. Umm....my golf balls say "Range" not "Titleist," but if the price is right, we could make a deal

Enjoyed my round here. A lot of great golf holes. I felt the Greens were a bit severe in spots and the fairway edges could've been smoothed out in some spots, but other than that great golf course. Excellent environment created and fun to play.

I really liked the front 9 on this course, but the back nine seemed a little forced. There were a few greens with some extreme slopes that were a bit excessive, and some of the hole routing was almost gimmicky. I think some out of bounds areas could have been useful as well. Sorry I don’t remember the hole number, but one one of the back 9 par 3s I hit a bad shot and ended up near the edge of the water but WAY below the hole and it took several shots to get back up to the level of the green to continue playing. I would prefer to just take a drop.
However, I thought the planting was great and the sculpting (particularly in some of the distant background elements) was really nice. The course had a great feel to it. Well done.

I did kick around the idea of OB on 16 and honestly I think you are right, it should have been added. I've seen so many OB issues with this game that I shied away, but in retrospect the hole deserved it. Something I will look more closely at on the 4th design and going forward. Thanks for the compliment on the planting and the sculpting and glad you enjoyed it and hope you went low!
