Muirton Golf Course is now open and taking tee times. The course is based on the Gleneagles Centenary Course and has three tees ranging from 6794-7228 yards with a default green speed of 172. Grandstands, crowds and other tournament fixtures have been included to create the atmosphere and feel of a competitive weekend of golf. I've included a spectators village complete with bar, big screen and some virtual golf to keep the crowds busy. The course probably could've done with a bit more work but designing on console makes planting a grind with the meter near the top end. I don't think the course will get much traction as it's coming out in the middle of the Dream Team Contest, but if you do pop on I hope you enjoy your round.

I'll give it a go tonight. Your courses are always fun, and these screenshots look great. Well done!

Wonderful course here sir! Excellent tournament atmosphere. This course felt like it exists in real life. I also really liked your choice of background for this one 👍🏻. Great job

Looking forward to playing this one. Is it No1 in a series of courses to be named after defunct Scottish fitba’ grounds? 😀

Just played a quick round and enjoyed it. Really clean fairways and transitions to greens. The lighting was well done. I was on a roll until I tried to drive the Par 4 14th..Twice! It looked like I could drive it but always a yard short. Oh well. I assume greens can take 187 for society play?

Looking forward to playing this one. Is it No1 in a series of courses to be named after defunct Scottish fitba’ grounds? 😀 I didn't know that Muirton Park was the old home of St Johnstone, you learn something new every day. I was going to use Auchterarder as it was based on the Centenary Course at Gleneagles but I think I've had my fair share of hard to pronounce courses. So I decided to go with the other nearby village of Muirton.

Played today. Very clean and restrained layout with no un-necessary bells and whistles. Great choices of fairway/rough/green colours which compliment each other to aid the ‘clean lines’ look. I enjoyed a few birdie and eagle moments too.

Love the sponsorship from visitscotland.com
Great looking course Celtic. Definitely looks tour ready with all the time you took to put in the details. Congrats on publishing!

Cheers Wes I thought I'd add the sponsors to add a bit of realism to it, it's a shame we can't get ad boards for the brands that are in the game. I even added a golf simulator in the spectators village which is glitch and taco putter free and sponsored by Twitch. I don't think it'll feature on TGC Tours as it wasn't deemed tour worthy but it's already been picked up by a couple of societies. I've already moved on to my next project and will be spending more time on it.

I enjoyed a few birdie and eagle moments too. Cheers man, sometimes I feel getting the right textures for the surfaces can be tough. With the lack of flyovers I thought there was no need to focus too much on the background and concentrate on the course without overdoing it.

Nicely done Pat, I've recommended for The Casuals, where T-Ready is essential.

Thanks to early1981 for his playthrough of Muirton Golf Course, if you've not done so already I'd suggest checking his YouTube channel out for playthroughs of the latest courses in 2K21.

Very solid course which has been done really well, great job buddy! Not honestly a fan of the Centenary course IRL but I liked what you did with this one.
